Glashutte Original Senator Chronometer Tourbillon (Live Pics) - Monochrome Watches
Precision reaches new heights with the presentation of the Glashutte Original Senator Chronometer Tourbillon.? Inspired by the original mission of the tourbillon to improve rate precision, the Senator chronometer Tourbillon marries a flying tourbillon with a stop-seconds mechanism, a zero reset and a minute detent to ensure hyper-precise time setting. Certified as a chronometer by the German Calibration ?Service in Glashutte, the latest Senator model displays a beguiling dial with three-quarters of its surface area on show.PURSUIT OF PRECISIONWith the Senator Chronometer Tourbillon, Glashutte Original is determined to recover the original vocation of the tourbillon. The tourbillon was designed by Breguet in the 19th century to improve the rate precision of portable mechanical timepieces in the face of gravity. Hidden below deck, tourbillons were utilitarian contraptions. Today, the function of the tourbillon is largely negligible and is used often more as a display of watchmaking prowe
Video - The New Baselworld 2018 Bvlgari Octo Watches Explained
After successively launching the thinnest tourbillon watch (the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon), the thinnest minute repeater watch (the?Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater) and, at that time, the thinnest automatic watch (the Octo Finissimo Automatic), we thought that the?Bvlgari Watches team was about to slow things down a bit, just to let us breathe. Wrong! For Baselworld 2018, we were left speechless again… Here are the Baselworld 2018?Bvlgari Octo Watches, fully explained by Guido Terreni (Managing Director of?Bvlgari Watches), including the new world record watch and the superb Sandblasted Trilogy. No need to go into details; last year’s Octo Finissimo Automatic was a blast. Even if in the meantime another watch stole the title for the thinnest automatic timepiece, this doesn’t detract from the beauty of this ultra-thin, ultra-bold and ultra-modern luxury sports watch – it has all the attributes to be in this category. For Baselworld 2018, this stand-alone piece beco
Introducing the Gerald Charles Maestro GC3.0-TN Chronograph
The name Gerald Charles might not ring a bell immediately. However, if I say Gerald Genta, this might be far clearer… Indeed, behind the GC brand was the genius designer of many emblematic watches, which he established after selling his eponymous brand to Bulgari. With Gerald Charles, Genta continued to produce watches and to create singular designs, one of them being the Maestro. And more than a decade after he passed away, the brand still exists. The model in question is the collection’s cornerstone, which now returns in the shape of a lightweight, high-end automatic chronograph combining a striking Royal Blue dial with a polished titanium case. Here’s the new Gerald Charles Maestro GC3.0-TN Chronograph.Gerald Genta is famous for dozens of emblematic designs, among which are the Royal Oak, the Nautilus, the Ingenieur SL, the Pasha de Cartier, the Bvlgari Bvlgari, but also, in his earliest years, the UG Polerouter and the Omega Constellation. Without forgetting the h

Oris James Morrison AoM Limited Edition / Introducing, Specs & Price
Just a month after we celebrated the Art Blakey Jazz edition by Oris, the brand from Holstein introduces another, just as nice, jazz-inspired dressy piece in the same collection. This James Morrison edition really makes it quite hard for us to keep up with all these novelties, so let's see if the Oris James Morrison AoM Limited Edition lives up to the legend it's named after.Tribute to Jazz legend James MorrisonJames Morrison is somewhat of a living legend, though his story isn't that of the typical jazz artist. Morrison wasn't from the plantations or the streets of Chicago; he was born in 1962 in a small farmer's village in the south-east of Australia. He grew in a very musically inclined family and started playing in bands before he even hit his teens. He mainly played the trumpet, but soon started experimenting with other instruments as well. By 21 he had founded a band named after himself and his brother, the Morrison Brothers Big Band. Success ensued and he began touring the world
