Patek Philippe 5270 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Blue - Hands-on with Live Photos, specs and price - Monochrome-Watches
Patek Philippe?has been linked to the perpetual calendar chronographs?for some decades now. Not only was Patek the first to come up with such complications reunited in a wristwatch (with the ref. 1518), but the brand?even added in some references a?split second or a?minute repeater to an already?prestigious package. During the 2014?edition of the Basel watch fair, Patek introduced a new colour to its ‘entry level’ perpetual calendar chronograph, a white gold case with a blue dial. We were quite fortunate to get our hands on this Patek Philippe 5270.It's quite a difficult thing to admit, but the Patek Philippe 5270 is actually the simplest?perpetual calendar?chronograph?of the?collection – keep in mind that the two other references with such complications also feature a split second (ref. 5204) or a minute repeater (ref. 5208). Clearly, though, the 5270 is not a simple watch. It is the latest edition of a long lineage that began with the reference 1518, the world’
Video Review Omega Speedmaster Super Racing and Spirate System
A tiny device that makes a massive change… This is how Omega teased its latest technical development, and the watch to house it. The technical achievement in question has a name, it’s the Spirate System. The watch to feature it too, it’s the Omega Speedmaster Super Racing. And we introduced both to you in an article last week, with quite some details. However, this new device that allows ultra-fine tuning of the rate of the watch isn’t really simple to understand. The result and the way to use the Spirate System in real life, for the watchmakers, is extremely efficient. There is true watchmaking science behind it, however. And in this respect, a video will always be more precise than static images to understand such technical topics. Hence why we decided to bring you all the details about the Speedmaster Super Racing and the Spirate System in a video that you can look at right here, on top of this article.?What is the Spirate system…? It is a new technical
Introducing The Yema Superman 500 Dato Collection
The Yema Superman is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic watches ever produced by the French watchmaking industry, with a recognition that goes far beyond its country of origin. Launched in the early 1960s, it was a typical skin-diver watch, a serious instrument for recreational diving enthusiasts, back then, a flourishing market. After some years of absence, both the brand and the watch have been tastefully revived, with the Yema Superman developing into a proper collection comprising multiple styles and even complications (such as GMT models). Last year, the Jura-based brand introduced an upgraded edition named the Yema Superman 500. And now, it comes in two new versions with cool dial colours and a date. Born in 1963, the Superman is clearly Yema’s star watch. Introduced as a slightly simplified and more accessible alternative to the professionally oriented dive watches on the market (think , Blancpain or Omega), it quickly made an impression on the
