The Bvlgari 102428 is a Diagono Magnesium category automatic watch. It comes with a black lacquer dial that features a combination of Arabic numerals and minute markers that are placed around the rim. The minute hands are made in silver tone. There are 2 sub-dials and a date section on the dial as well. The case is constructed with magnesium and PEEK that add to the sustainability and elegant finish of the design. The reserve of this luxury watch is 42 hours and the caliber is automatic, yet promising.

Video Review A. Lange & Sohne Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold
A. Lange & Sohne isn’t known for being lazy when it comes to complications and the execution of its watches. It isn’t one of the most revered watchmakers from Germany without reason. We all know that ALS is capable of manufacturing some of the most complex, desirable watches, which include some superb chronographs. Among the special edition models the brand introduced last year to celebrate the establishment of Ferdinand Adolph Lange's watchmaking company in Glashutte 175 years ago, one is clearly next level. We reviewed this Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold already, with photos. But a watch of this visual and mechanical complexity deserves more attention, so here it is in front of our camera.?What is this watch? To put it simply, a hand-wound split-seconds chronograph with a tourbillon regulator, a fusee-and-chain transmission for constant force and a perpetual calendar, all cased in the brand’s rare and proprietary gold alloy with a fascinating dial and impeccabl
INTERVIEW: Rebecca Struthers About Old Watches Getting a New Life - Struthers London - Monochrome Watches
This week we had the pleasure of sitting down with Rebecca Struthers, one half of Struthers London. Rebecca and her husband Craig are the master watchmakers and founders behind Struthers London. Having spent many years as vintage and antique watch restorers they launched Struthers London to re-commission high-grade antique and vintage watch movements recycled from the past. In the interview we discuss how the Morgan Car Company partnership came to fruition, who have been her watchmaking inspirations and what its like to work with your husband. Mono: Tell us a bit about Struthers?RS: The Struthers watchmakers are my husband Craig and me, between us we’ve been in the industry for nearly 25 years and trained in vintage and antique watch restoration, illustration, design, antiquarian horology, jewellery, silversmithing and diamond grading amongst other things. In 2013 we decided to set up our own business designing and making bespoke watches using a whol
Hands-on with the Zenith El Primero 410 Triple Calendar and MoonPhase now in blue with price (and cool cufflinks) - Monochrome-Watches
The Zenith El Primero is a very nice watch. There no point of disagreement for us. And when it comes with a triple calendar and a moon phase, displayed in a ‘vintage’ style and legible layout, it become an even better watch. This?timepiece?is called the Zenith El Primero 410 and for Baselworld 2015, it comes in a new limited edition with a cool blue dial (yes, blue is again is very popular this year). In addition, because we’re proper watch nerds here at Monochrome, we found something cool to match with?this watch: matching solid silver hand-made cufflinks depicting the El Primero.A bit of history…The Zenith El Primero movement was revealed in?1969. It was at that time the first – or to be precise and not to engage long fights between collectors – one of the first automatic chronograph movement – together with the Heuer-Breitling-Hamilton-Buren Calibre 11 and the Seiko 6139. Even experts do not entirely agree on who was first and there are quit
The F.P. Journe Repetition Souveraine (Specs & Price)
When it comes to high-end complications, the Grande Sonnerie is king, and his successor is the princely Minute Repeater. When it comes to ingenious interpretations of these complications, Fran?ois-Paul Journe is the man of the hour. Six years in the making and protected by ten patents, F.P. Journe's 2005 chiming masterpiece, the Sonnerie Souveraine, doubled the complication factor by combining a Grande and Petite Sonnerie. Three years later, in 2008, F.P. Journe came out with his Repetition Souverain, the world's thinnest minute repeater watch at that time. Given its complexity and limited production, this rara avis is rarely spotted in the wild. Luckily, we were able to handle and photograph a Repetition Souveraine for this review.Time on demandBefore the advent of artificial light, most people relied on church bells or striking clocks to tell the time in the dark. According to historical records, the first clock to strike the quarter-hour on demand appeared in England, circa 1675. Th
IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Tribute to Nico Rosberg to honour the 2016 F1 World Champion - Monochrome Watches
Last weekend, just before the start of the final race of this year’s F1 season, IWC introduced a special edition Ingenieur Chronograph, to honour last year’s World Champion Nico Rosberg. While the available 23 pieces were probably sold out instantly, we love to share this with you for two reasons. First, this is the best looking new Ingenieur Chronograph version, and secondly, we included the video of Nico Rosberg picking up his own watch and answering questions about this limited edition. This is not the first IWC limited edition for Nico Rosberg, as the Schaffhausen-based brand launched two limited edition for the drivers of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team of which they are one of the main sponsors. That was back in 2014, and there were two limited edition of 250 pieces each for both Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton. It was the older Ingenieur Chronograph version which was discontinued when the current version was introduced early 2016. The new limited edition to honour N
