A. Lange & Sohne isn’t known for being lazy when it comes to complications and the execution of its watches. It isn’t one of the most revered watchmakers from Germany without reason. We all know that ALS is capable of manufacturing some of the most complex, desirable watches, which include some superb chronographs. Among the special edition models the brand introduced last year to celebrate the establishment of Ferdinand Adolph Lange's watchmaking company in Glashutte 175 years ago, one is clearly next level. We reviewed this Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold already, with photos. When it comes to high-end complications, the Grande Sonnerie is king, and his successor is the princely Minute Repeater. When it comes to ingenious interpretations of these complications, Fran?ois-Paul Journe is the man of the hour. Six years in the making and protected by ten patents, F.P. IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Tribute to Nico Rosberg to honour the 2016 F1 World Champion - Monochrome Watches
Last weekend, just before the start of the final race of this year’s F1 season, IWC introduced a special edition Ingenieur Chronograph, to honour last year’s World Champion Nico Rosberg. While the available 23 pieces were probably sold out instantly, we love to share this with you for two reasons. First, this is the best looking new Ingenieur Chronograph version, and secondly, we included the video of Nico Rosberg picking up his own watch and answering questions about this limited edition.This is not the first IWC limited edition for Nico Rosberg, as the Schaffhausen-based brand launched two limited edition for the drivers of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team of which they are one of the main sponsors.
