Retrospective - All the Record-Breaking Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Models
It’s been seven years in the making so far, but we're pretty sure it won’t end where it is right now. This year marked the seventh record-breaking release by Bvlgari, with the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, the world's thinnest QP. But where did it actually start? We take a little trip down memory lane and go through all the groundbreaking, record-setting models, from the very first down to the lastest.Ultra-thin watchmaking is a complication in itself, especially when it comes to the marginal sizes we're talking about. The Battle of Elegant Time-Only Watches Part 3 - Drive de Cartier Extra-Flat vs. Grand Seiko SBWG231 - The Verdict - Monochrome Watches
There are moments in life that call for an elegant, time-only watch. Situations in which a strapping tool watch with protruding pushers and a glowing dial won't look quite right. If you are in the market for a handsome, straightforward time-only watch we have two very interesting candidates as different in looks as their cultural backgrounds. The Drive de Cartier is a tres French take on elegance and refinement; the Grand Seiko SBGW231 is also a very elegant and refined watch but interpreted from a Japanese aesthetic. Let's put them side by side and gauge the strengths and weaknesses of each watch before we formulate a verdict. Case size and presence on the wristThe Drive de Cartier Extra-Flat has a diameter of 39mm and a case height of 6.6mm, proportions that categorically affirm its status as a dress watch. The cushion-shaped case of the Drive spells Cartier over and over again and seems to have been a member of Cartier's renowned family of shaped watches forev
Weekly Watch Photo - Cartier Rotonde Jour et Nuit - Monochrome Watches
This photo represents what I like so much about watch and photography. The Weekly Watch Photo shows a Cartier Rotonde Jour et Nuit and is made by GEO. GEO is probably the biggest Cartier connaisseur and he shares his passion for Cartier watches through his own website Troisanneaux.com and since a few months as moderator of the Cartier forum at Revolution Online and even once on Monochrome. He wrote a lot about the?Cartier Collection Privee Cartier Paris watches, also known as CPCP watches. The Rotonde Jour et Nuit is part of the CPCP and in my opinion one of the most beautiful examples of this collection. Cartier used the CPCP collection for their finest and most exclusive timepie

The overall design and functionality of the Sang Bleu II are identical to the two existing models, but the colour scheme for 2020 is matte blue, the same blue used by the tattoo artist for his creations. An audacious (to say the least) combination of geometry and volume, this latest Sang Blue II chronograph is a limited edition of 100 pieces in King Gold and 200 in titanium. The “it” tattoo artistCollaborations, partnerships, limited editions, bespoke editions, designer watch straps, you name it… Many watch brands are on the hunt for originality and the highly desired cool' factor that will attract millennials.
