Review of the Extra-Flat Richard Mille RM 033 Boutique Edition (Titanium & Rose Gold) - Live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
When the name Richard Mille comes into the game, large?tonneau shaped watches come to mind, with a sporty feeling and highly technical content. Not the usual ingredients for a dress-watch. Of course, some editions are less “hardcore” than the others, like for instance the RM 022 Aerodyne (a smaller, less rugged but still highly complicated watch) or the classical RM 029. However, the watch we’re about to review breaks all these codes. It’s round, it’s slim, it’s supposed to be the ‘elegant and dressy’ proposition of the brand. However, surprisingly, it remains recognizable as a Richard Mille all the way round. Let’s have a closer look at the?Extra-Flat Richard Mille RM 033 Boutique Edition (Titanium & Rose Gold).Overall appearanceThe Richard Mille RM 033 is in every aspect?a RM watch but at the same time everything except?a RM watch. Petrolhead Corner: Chopard's Karl-Friedrich Scheufele on the Mille Miglia
I recently had the chance to see one of my car-related dreams being partially fulfilled; experiencing the Mille Miglia! It was a last-minute arrangement for me so I sadly could not get behind the wheel of a vintage sports or racing car, but it was a scintillating experience nonetheless. Spending a day-and-a-half in the rolling hills of northern Italy, in between some of the most desirable vintage cars and surrounded by amazing people, and yes, watches too, it was a head-spinning trip. And in the midst of it all, I had the chance to sit down with Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-owner of Chopard, a true car enthusiast and Mille Miglia regular! The topic at hand? The legendary road race, of course, as well as his fascination for cars and how it all ties in with Chopard.Yours truly alongside Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Jacky Ickx, sitting in the door opening of a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. The Mille MigliaFor those not familiar with the Mille Miglia, it was a timed 1000-mile (roughly) l

If you have any interest in vintage watches, and specifically military-issued pieces, the terms ‘Dirty Dozen‘ and ‘WWW’ should be familiar to you. Among the twelve brands that supplied the British MoD (Ministry of Defense) with watches during WWII was Timor Watch Company… which was re-incorporated in the United Kingdom in 2019, with something pretty cool in mind. And the result is out today, with the Timor Heritage Field, a faithful and accessible reissue of the ‘WWW’ field watch, now launching on Kickstarter.Reminder – the ‘Watch Wristlet Waterproof’ and the ‘Dirty Dozen’While we’ve already covered the ‘Dirty Dozen’ topic on multiple occasions, specifically since another brand (Vertex) decided to relaunch with modern watches inspired by the past, a short reminder will help you understand what Timor and the WWW are all about. The 12 watches that compose the so-called “Dirty Dozen” ̵

Introduced earlier this year as a full range of watches, the Longines Spirit is probably one of the brand’s most important new collections in recent years. Entirely new for the winged hourglass, equipped with high-end features, clearly focused on precision and reliability, the Spirit is a classic pilot’s watch that combines old-school design cues with a contemporary execution. Available in multiple editions, with several colours, sizes and movements, today we look at what could well become the bestseller: the Longines Spirit 40mm, a time-and-date watch with a black dial.?A classic conceptLongines is one of the Swiss watch brands with the richest history. Founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura, Longines became renowned for timing sports events thanks to its early chronograph pocket watches. This reputation for reliable and precise timing instruments would become the brand’s hallmark and with the advent of military and civilian aviation, and thus the need for
