Introducing: The A. Lange & Sohne Minute Repeater Perpetual
Deploying its full arsenal for Watches and Wonders 2025, the Saxon powerhouse A. Lange & Sohne unveils the Minute Repeater Perpetual, a potent horological cocktail combining a minute repeater with a perpetual calendar. A rare and ambitious mix, the imposing platinum Minute Repeater Perpetual with a black enamel dial is powered by a newly developed manual-winding movement.?Lange has ample experience with both complications, as evidenced by the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater, the Richard Lange Minute Repeater and the Lange 1 and Langematik Perpetual Calendar. While Lange has produced some mind-boggling complication mixes, like the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon, this is the first time Lange marries a QP to a minute repeater – excluding of course the Grande Complication (which added even more to the equation). Baselworld 2019 - Patek Philippe Aquanaut Jumbo 5168G Khaki Green (Specs & Price)
In 2017, Patek Philippe (sort of) celebrated the 20th anniversary of its iconic yet entry-level sports watch, the Aquanaut, by presenting an oversized “Jumbo” model in white gold with a blue dial, the reference 5168G-001. With its case size increased by 2mm and its precious metal case, it was a bit of a controversial piece. Well, there’s a new version of the Aquanaut 5168G in town and its colour scheme is certainly going to be a topic of discussion. Meet the Khaki Green Patek Philippe Aquanaut Jumbo. At the 1997 Basel show, Patek Philippe presented the new Aquanaut Ref. 5060A, a sporty, yet chic and contemporary watch for men in stainless steel designed to appeal to a younger generation. Less “classical”, less expensive and more suited for daily use, the Aquanaut took inspiration from the Nautilus and adopted its iconic octagonal/porthole shape. However,? the overall look and construction were simpler with a 3-part case and a rubber strap instead of an inte
Interview - Max Verstappen on F1 and Watches & the new TAG Heuer Verstappen Edition
Following the controversial outcome of the Brazilian Grand Prix, we had the chance to sit down with the hottest ticket on the grid right now as TAG Heuer releases a new watch dedicated to Max Verstappen. Third in line, after the orange and red strap versions from 2016 and 2017, we now get a metal bracelet. It’s still a quartz movement though, as TAG Heuer targets a younger crowd, not necessarily into mechanical watchmaking. The previous models were riddled with details to remind you of the Dutch driver. Of course, the national colour Orange was incorporated and the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Max Verstappen Special Edition 2016 came on an orange rubber strap. The red-white-and-blue of Holland’s flag is also present in all the watches. Besides colour, the number 33 is also referenced in the watches, and the tachymeter scale for the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Max Verstappen Special Edition 2017 was red from zero to thirty-three.Since quartz is not really our thing at

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon in 18k Rose Gold
Back in 2019, Vacheron Constantin introduced a tourbillon to the Overseas collection. Its stainless steel case and vivid blue dial held the self-winding ultra-thin Calibre 2160 inside. Now the manufacturer unveils an 18k rose gold version and since going through a major uplift back in 2016, the Overseas now offers some really nice features like its interchangeable strap system and a slim 10.39mm-thick case. The new 18K rose gold Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon watch is a 42.5mm model with a translucent blue lacquered dial executed with a sunburst satin-finished surface, surrounded by a velvet-finished flange. This particular shade of blue was chosen as a flagship colour that recalled watch dials of the 1950s and 60s. The model, still dedicated to travellers, maintains its distinct aesthetic with an instantly recognisable six-sided bezel evoking the company's Maltese Cross symbol. The bevelled edges on the case and integrated bracelet remain faithful to the Overseas' sporty tempe
