It is from the Chopard Imperial Steel Dial, Diamond Lynette 388563-6003 collection of watches. The striking play of materials gives a modern edge to its classical geometry, while precious diamonds and amethysts and an understated leather strap add an aura of bold distinction. This watch has a silver dial that with indexes made in rose gold tone. The minute hands have the same finish but are made even better with luminescence. The bezel is fixed and decorated with diamonds to give the watch a great look. The caliber of this watch is self-winding and mechanical, and the reserve is promising too. The leather strap can be tied using a delicate pin buckle.

First Look: The Return of the Glorious Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph
Cartier has staged a strong comeback amongst collectors in recent years thanks to its ever-growing Cartier Prive collection and other historic recreations such as the Pebble, Crash and Tank Cintree. A range of high-end, mechanically advanced and visually appealing watches, it can be seen as the resurgence of the all-time favourite Collection Privee Cartier Paris, also known as the CPCP collection. And since this topic is now on the table, we can’t skip the most popular model in this range, the refined Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph and its movement. So, without further ado, I’ll drop the big news… It is back! Meet the new 2024 Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph. And yes, it is as good as it gets.?Historical ReminderCartier is all about shapes. We’ve covered this topic in a dedicated article, looking at some of the most emblematic designs ever created by the Parisian brand. While the Tank collection is the most famous of them all – whether it is Cintr
SIHH 2017 - IWC Da Vinci Automatic 40mm (Specs & Price)
As?Brice has already mentioned in our first Pre-SIHH 2017 coverage introducing the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, IWC has established a?tradition of?revamping an entire collection each year. We've seen this?practice happening over the past 4 years and this year is no different. It’s time for the Da Vinci collection to get an update, and one of the new models is this IWC Da Vinci 40mm Automatic. Farewell to the tonneau case, welcome to the round case. Farewell to the modern interpretation of the Da Vinci, welcome to the inspired-by-the-original Da Vinci. The original Da Vinci by IWC was designed by Hano Butscher with?the idea supposedly coming from Leonardo Da Vinci's Codex Atlanticus, which you would have already read about in the first article about the new collection. The original creation from 1985 is almost completely replicated, and not in a bad way might I add, by the 2017 collection, at least in terms of aesthetics. A round case and articulated lugs are the mo
The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Meisterstuck 100 Years
Montblanc celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Meisterstuck - a fine writing instrument synonymous with the brand. Interestingly, initially, the cigar-shaped pen with the handcrafted nib was created by Montblanc artisans exclusively for their use before being made available to the public in 1924. To mark the milestone, Montblanc released a special edition of the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Meisterstuck 100 Years, incorporating design elements inspired by the iconic Meisterstuck fountain pen; we share our impressions after a hands-on experience.Founded in 1906, Montblanc gained widespread recognition as a maker of fountain pens before expanding its offerings to include luxury leather goods, perfumes, and, since 1997, watches. Popular at the time jokes about Montblanc watches needing ink to run, quickly gave way to appreciation of how fast the brand mastered the watchmaking craft. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Oris Holstein Edition 2021 (Specs & Price)
On 1st June 1904, Oris was founded in the Swiss town of Holstein and named after a nearby brook. One hundred and seventeen years later, Oris equips its classic Big Crown Pointer Date model with a new in-house developed automatic movement known as Calibre 403. Sharing the same beefy five-day power reserve, impressive resilience to magnetism and ten-year warranty as the groundbreaking 2020 Calibre 400 automatic series, this particular calibre adds a small seconds counter and pointer date function. Although at first glance it is clearly a Big Crown Pointer Date, there are plenty of modifications to distinguish it as an anniversary model. Limited to 250 pieces, the 38mm steel Big Crown tones down the vintage vibe associated with this family and resorts to a more contemporary monochromatic palette with a grey dial, a new set of Arabic numerals and a sleeker smaller and sharper case silhouette.BackgroundThe Big Crown model started life as a pilot's watch in 1938 and featured an oversized cro
A Day at the Races: with Tudor at the Historic Grand Prix in Zandvoort - Monochrome Watches
Cars and watches, a great combination, and this combi?comes with a very legitimate historical background. For the second year Tudor was sponsor of the Historic Grand Prix in Zandvoort and we got the chance to enjoy a great day with them in the Paddock Club, and of course strolling through the paddock to see so many awe-inspiring cars. From pre World War II cars, to recent Formula 1 race cars, from heavily tuned Mini Coopers, to dozens of vintage BMW 2002Ti’s and CSL’s, a marvellous Ferrari 250GT, many AC Cobras, and even a Shelby Daytona! And they all raced like the devil was chasing them. Old or not, these cars raced like crazy. We got to enjoy the best of two very interesting worlds: cars and watches!?As you’re probably well aware off, watches used to be purpose build mechanisms. As of the early 1900’s the watch, until then worn in a small vest pocket, and attached to a chain, slowly found their way to the wrist. And since cars also emerged around that time, m
