2022 Bulgari Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater and Tourbillon Chronograph
With eight world records since 2014, the Octo Finissimo legion marches forward to consolidate Bulgari's ultra-thin watch empire. Just a few days after the unveiling of the mind-bogglingly thin Octo Finissimo Ultra, the Roman Maison presents new iterations of some of its Haute Horlogerie complication models, namely the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater and Tourbillon Chronograph Skeleton Automatic, with new colourways and new materials.Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater Titanium/BlueStanding out by its refined design and technicality, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater is the thinnest minute repeater ever with a movement of 3.12mm housed in a 6.61mm case. The model was originally presented in 2016. The new version combines a sandblasted titanium case and a matte blue openworked dial. Just like for previous versions, the hour-markers and small seconds are openworked. These apertures allow Bulgari to further enhance the acoustic properties of the watch.? The new IWC Pilots Watch Chronograph collection (including the black IW377709) - Monochrome Watches
The news-storm from SIHH is in full effect, and quite literally, the renewal of the entire Big Pilot collection is BIG thing. After the limited edition IWC Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch 48 & 55 (inspired on the B-Uhr watches), there are also a bundle of new Chronographs in the collection. Of course a new Petit Prince, but also a new Spitfire Chronograph. Here's an overview of the new IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph, including the?normal?black?IW377709 and the rest of?the collection. The SIHH is Richemont's moment to introduce all the new models, from every brand under the group’s?umbrella. This year for IWC, the Pilot's Watch collection is entirely overhauled, following last year's renewal of the Portuguese. Into the Pilot collection, the Big Pilot holds kind of a special place in the eye of collectors, especially the 5002 and 5004 references. A bold, clean (but at the same time pretty sizeable at 46.2mm wide) rendition of a true pilot's watch. Then came another edition, and
Oris ProPilot X Calibre 115 - Incl. First-Look Pics and Technical Overview - Monochrome Watches
From a concept of ? Real Watches for Real People ?, meaning no-nonsense, practical tool watches with not much horological depth but solid manufacturing, to a higher-end, highly mechanical piece that will define the brand's future Oris' latest watch had a long way to travel. We went down that same road with its creators to see what this new ProPilot X Calibre 115 is all about. It was only about a month ago that I wrote a piece on a EUR 7,000 watch with only hour and minute hands. One of the comments I got on the article was: Why can't this brand make a watch at an honest price when Oris can?”Just to keep our thinking clear, I won't mention that other brand (two brands cannot always be easily compared – prestige plays a role in pricing as well). But the gist of the comment was clear. And indeed, it made me realize something: apparently, Oris has become the benchmark for reasonably priced, well-designed and good-quality real watches. No one could have thought that about 15 year
Panerai Radiomir Logo 3 Days Acciaio PAM00753 & Radiomir Black Seal Logo 3 Days Acciaio PAM00754 - Specs & Price
A couple of years ago, when the idea of buying a Panerai crossed your mind, you knew that a minimum of 6K would be required. Quite a hefty price for what were, after all, simple tool watches. Yet, it seems that a new strategy is taking shape at the “Officine”. After introducing new and affordable Luminor Base and Marina at the SIHH 2018, the brand is applying the same concept to the?Radiomir watches, creating its new entry-level offer: the Radiomir Logo 3 Days PAM00753 and the Radiomir Black Seal Logo 3 Days PAM00754. Back to basics and back to realistic prices – indeed, you can now have a new Panerai for less than EUR 4,000.A new strategy for PaneraiEven though Panerai is still one of the major actors in the industry, we can’t deny that the brand’s strategy?for the past four or five years has been rather difficult to understand: dozens of limited editions, highly priced watches, complex movements, new references with almost no differences to previous ones
