2021 Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda 79360N Review, Video, Price
The Black Bay is, without doubt, the most successful collection of Tudor. This watch has been instrumental in the resurrection of the brand in the early 2010s. Since its introduction in 2012, this vintage-inspired diver's watch has been a commercial hit and the collection has been enlarged with multiple complications, in various materials and in a wide range of colours. The collection is a classic for Tudor, mixing modern execution and retro-looking elements, such as the iconic Snowflake hands or signature applied indexes. And in 2017, the brand introduced its first Black Bay Chrono, which caused quite some reactions… A good base for sure, but there was room for improvement. Well, it’s here, with the new editions of the Tudor Black Bay Chrono for 2021. And we have a video review of these models too, that you can check on top of the article.The Black Bay Chrono… a controversial piece in a success storyThe Black Bay is like a piece of well-oiled machinery for Tudor. Buying Guide - Discovering some of the finest Compressor dive watches.
Whenever we come across a dive watch that has an inner rotating bezel and a dual crown set-up, we tend to label it as a Compressor dive watch. While it certainly is the correct terminology for the style, it depends on the construction of the case if a watch is actually a proper Compressor dive watch or not. Watches that simply look like a Compressor diver might have you fooled a bit, as most merely capture the visual essence of those early watches. But every now and then, a true Compressor dive watch pops up. Today we take a look at such a watch and compliment the style with a few others as well.An example of a vintage Longines Ref 7042 with compressor case.From a historical perspective, the difference between an actual compressor dive watch and a piece that only looks like one is quite important. Developed in the late-fifties by Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA), a (Super)compressor dive watch has a patented spring mechanism between the case and the caseback. This system made the watch more wa
Richard Mille Introduces the RM028 Orange Flash and 3 More Limited Editions for the EMEA Region - Monochrome Watches
Richard Mille is synonymous for luxury sports watches, or maybe even synonymous for the ultimate luxury in sports watches. Whether it’s a big round dive watch with a tourbillon or a an extremely light-weight tonneau shaped watch with a tourbillon that can be worn when playing golf, like the RM038 Bubba Watson Tourbillon; Richard Mille creates timepieces for people who also have a Black Card for a credit card and a Vertu instead of a boring middle-class iPhone.?What sets Richard Mille’s watches apart from the crowd, are the iconic case designs and the unmistakably?recognizable?three-dimensional sculptures that his mechanical movements are. Richard Mille has taken luxury sports watches to a level, where even the veterans of the watch industry didn’t dare to go.This week Richard Mille announced four new watches. There will be a black edition of the RM 055 Bubba Watson (being the Bubba Watson watch without the tourbillon), two tourbillon watches in a carbon case and one r
2008 -> 2009 - Monochrome Watches
2008 has been quite an exiting year when it comes to watches. As a collector and admirer of fine timepieces i have seen some great new watches. Technically the brands start working with new materials, not only for the cases, but also for movement parts. When it comes to design it seem that the main focus is still on large watches, but i wouldn’t be amazed if this will change next year already.Coming from the Netherlands it also made me proud to see the birth of a new Dutch watch brand. The brother Bart and Tim Gronefeld showed their first watch during the European GTG a friend and i organised last november. The Gronefeld GTM06 shows an incredibly high standard of finish and the minite repaeter gong… well, you have to hear them to believe the incredible sound coming from a small wristwatch!From a personal point of view i hope to see some more reasonably priced and reasonably sized watches next year. Not every brand needs a tourbillon i think. And not every brand needs to hav
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time 7900V - Pre-SIHH 2018 (Specs & Price)
This week, Vacheron Constantin is previewing one of the new additions it will be making to its popular Overseas collection in 2018, aptly named the Overseas Dual Time. Due to be officially launched at SIHH 2018, the Manufacture took the opportunity to get its new model in front of serious collectors from the Middle East (and further abroad) who attend the Dubai Watch Week event each year. Inside is the new Vacheron Constantin Caliber 5110 DT, which allows for the simultaneous reading of two time-zones, hence the name of the watch. A standard complication no doubt, but one that has been noticeably missing from the collection of this luxury sports watch.Up until now, if you wanted a Vacheron Constantin Overseas with the ability to display a second time-zone, your only option was the Overseas World Time. Nothing wrong with that of course, it is a beautiful watch after all with an excellent complication but perhaps not suited to everyone's tastes for daily wear. The new Overseas Dual Time,
