Luxury Watches |
The outlook is enough to define the class of this beauty; it is made precisely with a fine brown textile strap to give a polished look. The casing is created with gold-tone stainless steel, and a gorgeous bezel is attached to the strap. A nice-looking brown dial marked with index markings rose-gold hour markers sets an exemplary appearance. The watch is resistant to water and scratch proof thanks to the sapphire crystal.

Hands-On - Claude Meylan Legende 69 (with vintage Valjoux 69 movement) with Vintage Chronograph Movement (Specs & Price)
A visit to Les Ateliers (editor's note, the place where most independent watchmakers exhibit) at Baselworld 2018 can sometimes bring very nice surprises - especially if you have a love for old-school chronograph watches. The Claude Meylan Legende 69 is a clean, simple, elegant stopwatch. As its name suggests, it is powered by a vintage Valjoux 69 chronograph movement, entirely refurbished and redecorated by Claude Meylan, an independent watchmaker based in the Vallee de Joux, specialised in crafting skeletonised watches. The hand-wound column wheel chronograph found in this elegant and clean watch is a refinished old-stock Valjoux 69 calibre, a movement introduced in the late 1930s (more precisely, we talk about new movements created with old-stock parts). The origins of the legendary chronograph maker Valjoux go as far back as the late 19th century when the Reymond brothers set up their movement manufacture in the Vallee de Joux. Reymond Freres SA would b
Weekly Watch Photo - the Bulli-Shot - Monochrome Watches
That I’m a huge fan of beautiful photos showing beautiful watches probably doesn’t come as a surprise anymore. Hey, that was the sole reason for starting the Weekly Watch Photo. And that was?one and a half year ago…I still find so many photos that look so good that they have to be shared. Besides cool ‘mood’ photos, like these from A.Lange & Sohne or these from IWC, I’m also a big fan of beautiful wrist shots, like the wrist shots from Simon C. Today I’d like to present you a bunch of wrist shots called Bulli-Shots! Ad - Scroll to continue with article Bulli-Shots? Yep, although there’s of course no formal name for any type of wrist shot, but I think this is the second informal type of wrist shot. The first is called the Superman-wrist-shot, famous for the hand-streched-foreward-in-the-air that looks like the p
Pre-Baselworld 2019 - Chopard L.U.C XPS Twist Qualite Fleurier (Specs & Price)
The XPS by Chopard has been one of the best examples of the modern, chic, ultra-thin watch for over 20 years now. Elegant, beautifully crafted with great mechanics, one could regret a certain lack of audacity in the design, with most of the pieces being quite minimalistic. While keeping the L.U.C codes alive, Chopard brings a fresher take on the model as a preview of Baselworld 2019. Meet the?Chopard L.U.C XPS Twist Qualite Fleurier – and indeed, it comes with a twist! The XPS is the direct descendant of the first?L.U.C watch introduced in 1996 with the ultra-thin, in-house calibre 1.96. A movement that is still used today, the calibre 1.96 has undergone various updates and multiple configurations, yet the base is the same. It was?the first calibre created by Chopard Manufacture in 1996 after Karl-Friedrich Scheufele initiated a programme to produce movements in-house in Fleurier. The first L.U.C branded watch was a discreet, gold-encased piece with an elegant guilloche dial and a
Introducing The 8 New Watches Of The Omega Seamaster 75th Anniversary Summer Blue Collection (Live Pics)
Omega, as a brand, has an incredibly long and rich history. When it comes to their watches, one can easily name models such as the Speedmaster or the Constellation. Yet, the watch collection with the longest production run is the Seamaster. Launched in 1948, to mark the 100th anniversary of the brand, the Omega Seamaster was based upon designs made for the British Royal Navy, but even though its technology was war-tested, it remained a child of peace. And a watch that has always been associated with water-resistance and, soon after its introduction 75th years ago, the exploration of the seas. And since the watch celebrates three-quarter of century of existence this year, it is time for Omega to release a special anniversary collection, with 7 classic Seamaster models rendered in a new Summer Blue gradient tone, but it also marks the return of an emblematic watch, the mighty Seamaster Ploprof.?Quick historical recapThe Omega Seamaster was born on the expertise that Omega gained with wat
Bamford x Badgerworks TAG Heuer Carrera Tropical Coffee Dial
Let’s say that this watch won’t be everybody’s cup of tea… maybe some of you won’t find it brew-tiful… Maybe, this watch will make you feel mugged? Indeed, thanks to these (not-so-profound) puns, you’ll get the point with this watch, which is the rather special result of a collaboration between customizer Bamford Watch Department and luminescent materials specialist Black Badger (a.k.a James Thompson), who wanted to create their own tropical coffee-coloured dial. So they took it literally and created a dial made… of ground coffee.?The base for this new Bamford x Badgerworks piece is nothing new or special, as we’re talking about a relatively accessible and simple TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5, a well-established sports watch of 41mm with the signature design of the collection and powered by the automatic Calibre 5 – a Sellita SW 220-1 or ETA 2824. However, we’re talking about Bamford Watch Department and Badgerworks, two c
