Luxury Watches |
An extremely beautiful and elegant piece of work by Hamilton is what we see here. A dark blue dial with silver color index markers and hour hands perfectly pop out from the dial giving a classy look to the watch. further, a calendar display is also located at the 15:00 hour marker making this watch an all-in-one. With its stainless-steel bracelet and body design and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, this is one accessory to own!

Auction - Highlights "Complications: Dates & Calendars" Ineichen
Ineichen, the fast-growing auction house based in Zurich, seems to have a thing for both modern, important watches as well as something that is dear to us, independent watchmaking. Following thematic sales focused on one specific material?or an iconic watch celebrating its 50th anniversary, we’ve seen an October sale dedicated to tourbillons and skeletonization. Today, we’re announcing the second part of this thematic auction, this time devoted to date and calendar complications… And as you can guess, the selection of watches to be featured is certainly more about complex displays than the classic date window. Here are 5 of our favourites.?Ineichen’s “Complications: Dates & Calendars” sale will be taking place in Zurich and online on December 3th, 2022. It features 54 watches ranging from classic high-end calendars from established manufacturers like Vacheron Constantin or A. Lange & Sohne (with a wide range of Datograph models), as well as h
Hands-on with the Richard Mille RM 022 Aerodyne Dual Time Zone - Live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
What's so special about a Richard Mille watch? We all know about the exclusivity (less than 3,000 pieces per year), the impeccable quality and the celebrity ambassadors. But there are many more features that added up to the success of this highly exclusive watch brand: exclusive materials, astonishing finishing, distinctive complications, innovations and a unique feeling that creates a desirable object. In order to understand what Richard Mille is all about, we've visited the famous Parisian shop Chronopassion to discuss the brand, their watches and to get hands-on with one of the most complicated timepiece in the collection, the Richard Mille RM 022 Aerodyne, featuring a tourbillon, a dual time indicator and…. carbon?nano-fibers.?No doubt about it, the Richard Mille RM 022 Aerodyne is an extraordinary timepiece. We could have stopped here, showed you pictures and it would have been enough to tickle your love for watches. But here we're going to try to explain you why a Richard M
Just Because - Berd Vaye Horological Sculptures
The horological landscape is a complex and interesting one, filled with not only mechanical marvels for your wrist but also myriad other interrelated products. The connection with some, such as watch winders, is obvious, whilst others are a little more abstract. Berd Vaye horological sculptures definitely fit into this latter category, displaying vintage watch parts from around the world in a whole new light.Wearable ArtThe modern renaissance of mechanical watchmaking (i.e. post-quartz crisis), brought with it a strong focus on the artistic and aesthetic elements of timekeeping. In many ways, these elements comprise the luxury' aspect of luxury watches. The use of hi-tech materials, for example, is often as much about the look and feel as it is about the practical advantages of using such materials. This is not a bad thing, mind you, indeed it has ensured the survival of the industry. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
First Look: The Albishorn Type 10, an Imaginary Ancestor to the Type 20
What if…? This simple statement could easily summarize what Albishorn‘s founder Sebastien Chaulmontet wants to achieve with the brand, or “Imaginary Vintage” watches as he likes to call it. Things started with the appealing Maxigraph, or what a modern regatta chronograph would have looked like in the 1930s. Now, Albishorn takes flight, and Chaulmontet creates another vintage watch that never existed. It’s named the Type 10 Chronograph, and it’s meant to be the predecessor of the emblematic Type 20 chronograph, hypothetically crafted in 1948, as the missing link between the dashboard instruments and the famous flyback military/pilot wrist chronograph. A bold idea, one that will surely provoke discussions, but also a demonstration of creativity.?What’s important to know about Sebastien Chaulmontet, the man behind this recently created brand Albishorn, is that he has quite a track record. Chaulmontet has been the Head of Innovation and Marketing a
Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendar 1948 (Specs & Price)
There is no question Vacheron Constantin makes exceptionally fine timepieces. The brand really comes into its element though when it focuses its attention on vintage-inspired models (in my humble opinion at least). These models invariably belong to the Historiques collection, which celebrates some of the brand's significant models from the past by offering a fresh take. My previous favourite was the 1955 Cornes de Vache Chronograph launched in 2015 but that model was recently usurped by the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendar 1948 I am reviewing here today – which is the luxurious and moon phase-equipped sister of the steel?Historiques Triple Calendar 1942 reviewed here.BackgroundGiven that this collection focuses on historic models, it seems only fair to add in a bit of history for context. As you are no doubt aware, the Triple Calendar 1948 was launched last year with a stablemate, the Triple Calendar 1942 in steel (read Brice's excellent review of that watch here).
