Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph (Hands-On) - Monochrome Watches
Last year, at Baselworld 2018, Omega introduced the new “James Bond Watch”, a.k.a the Seamaster Diver 300M. Not shy of being one of the best luxury dive watches available on the market (really, it is), it came with an updated case, a new ceramic laser-engraved dial, a new ceramic and enamel bezel and mainly, a Master Chronometer in-house movement. It is now time for the first evolution in the collection with the introduction of the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph – in three different versions, including steel, bi-co and Sedna gold. This new chronograph version of the Seamaster Diver 300M doesn’t really come as a surprise. It is the natural evolution of the collection and is a watch that already existed in the past. It feels quite natural for Omega to deploy the new design codes on the much-loved chronograph version of the 300M at the TimeToMove event (what replaces Baselworld for six of the Swatch Group brands). Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Master Chronometer M79210CNU
About a week ago, Tudor, the trendy and stronger-than-ever sister-brand of , presented a new watch, the Black Bay Ceramic. While good-looking and made from a material that is a first (almost) for the brand’s successful dive watch, there is much more behind this watch than just a new look. Tudor could have stopped its development here with this new ceramic model, and it would have been fine. BUT (yes, it’s a big one), there is something under the hood that means a lot, both for Tudor, for the industry and for the Group. This watch is indeed a Master Chronometer, a watch that has been certified according to the ultra-demanding standards defined by METAS, with impressive accuracy and top-tier magnetic resistance. And that’s the first time we see this on a watch that isn’t an Omega. Today, we’ll have a look at this new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic M79210CNU, but mostly, we’ll explain what the Master Chronometer certification means.First… the watchLet
Hands-On Rado Captain Cook Chronograph Collection
The Captain Cook is, without a doubt, one of Rado's most emblematic watches. Named after the famous British explorer, the model was released in 1962 as a 37mm diver with a water resistance of 200 metres. Since it was relaunched in 2017, several Captain Cook models have been presented, such as the Bronze collection or the High-Tech Ceramic. Today, Rado gives us a new take on the design with a chronograph version, just after a very cool Over-Pole Limited Edition. This useful, popular complication will be welcome by the Captain Cook's fan, all the more that the case lends itself particularly well for this function.?Let’s take a closer look at the Rado Captain Cook Chronograph. This is one of the big news for Rado this year: its marine-inspired Captain Cook is now available as a chronograph. A cool addition to this emblematic collection, which already comprises watches such as the recent diver model, this new edition retains many of the classic Captain Cook's design cues. The round ca
Buying Guide - Some Of The Coolest Orange Dive Watches in 2022
If orange dive watches have been rather popular for their funky 1970s vibe, the colour was originally selected for visibility reasons. Doxa is often said to have been among the first to use orange, which has become a signature colour for the brand. Back in the late 1960s, Doxa tested different dial colours in Lake Neuchatel and thought it was the best tone for underwater readability. If this is in fact quite wrong (orange is one of the first colours to disappear underwater, just after red, at about 20m deep), the trend has picked up, to the point of becoming a signature dive watch feature. Here are 5 cool options to get for this summer, to look stylish on land and underwater.Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver OrangeA dive watch in a square case feels unusual at first, specifically with the need for a rotating bezel. Still, for over ten years now, Bell & Ross has been renowned for its bold square case design. The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver isn't just a design statement, it is a legi
