Panerai Luminor Marina Titanio/DLC Bucherer BLUE PAM01021 - Introducing, Price
Being the largest watch retailer over the world, Swiss-based company Bucherer has enough influence to do things its own way… And that means creating its own, personalised watches, manufactured by some of the most prestigious brands around, and themed after a concept named “Bucherer BLUE”. After multiple editions, including IWC, Longines, Breguet, GO or Oris, it is now time for Bucherer to have its own Panerai watch – in fact, the second of its type made with the Florentine manufacture. Meet the new Panerai Luminor Marina Titanio/DLC Bucherer BLUE.Who is Bucherer?Bucherer is a Swiss-based, privately owned company whose history dates back to 1888 when merchant and entrepreneur Carl-Friedrich Bucherer opened the first specialist watch and jewellery store in Lucerne. As business grew, Bucherer became one of the first retailers in 1924 and remains Bucherer's most important partner. After WWII, the business continued to grow and the family-owned company opened branc
Introducing The Ultra-Precise Omega Speedmaster Super Racing
Ten years ago, in 2013, Omega presented the first stage of its journey towards higher levels of anti-magnetism and accuracy. With a model based on the Seamaster Aqua Terra, the brand developed a watch capable of resisting magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. This was the first milestone in a story that later, combined with the tech developed by the brand and its co-axial escapement, would introduce the Master Chronometer certification. To celebrate a decade of precision watchmaking, Omega writes a new chapter with a watch that feels familiar visually (based on a Speedmaster Racing) but hides a new hairspring and fine-tuning system – the Omega Spirate System. With a guaranteed accuracy of +0 and +2 seconds/day, it may well be the best-in-class for the industry. Meet the new Omega Speedmaster Super Racing. In 2013, Omega claimed to have launched a watch with the highest level of magnetic resistance of any serially produced mechanical wristwatch. Resistant to magnetic fields of over 1
First Look - the 2021 Editions of the Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar
Omega is primarily known for two significant and historic collections: the Speedmaster and the Seamaster. For more than half a century, these two models have dominated the show at the Biel-based brand, giving it its iconic status. But, Omega has much more to offer than these two sports watches. In fact, there’s a collection that is even more enduring, and that is the Constellation. Built as a more elegant and more refined range of models, it even includes a pretty complex and satisfying calendar watch, the Globemaster Annual Calendar. Three new editions have been launched a couple of weeks ago, and today we have a look at two of these new, luxurious and colourful additions to the Globemaster lineup.?Although the aura of the Speed- and Seamaster collections is unbeatable, there’s one collection at Omega that is even more enduring, and that is the Constellation. Born in the late 1940s, way before the two other sports collections were even imagined, the Constellation was the e
GIVE AWAY: Montblanc Travel Watch Roll for 2 Watches - Monochrome Watches
One of the coolest things for this year, is that we can give away lots of great presents. OK, we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary. However it’s the brands that we cover here on Monochrome that chip in and donate these great presents, which we can share with you guys! After some amazing gift that we already send to twelve of you (10 Meistersinger desk clocks, one Ophion wrist watch and a Panerai book), the next gift -a stunning Ulysse Nardin wall clock– will be shipped as soon as we received the shipping data of the winner. Now it’s time to give away a very nice travel watch roll, made by, and made available by, Montblanc.?The travel watch roll is for two watches and is made of so-called ‘sartorial’ leather. It really looks great, and the quality and finish is absolutely superb. Personally I can’t leave the house without at least 2 or 3 watches -when i go for a longer trip, not when doing groceries- so a good watch roll is an important access
Vintage beauty - Vacheron Constantin American 1921 - Monochrome Watches
When Vacheron Constantin launched the Historique American 1921, information about it’s ancestor was made available as well. With all the information to be found, the original watches are rare, very, very rare! So imagine how surprised I was to get an email from an owner who’s inherited a vintage American 1921 and is looking to sell it. This specific ‘American 1921’ was the first Vacheron to bear this name and was limited to 10 pieces. It was also the first with it’s crown at the 2 o’clock position, or as collectors call it a ‘crown right’ model. The last one of these ‘right crown’ models sold for 61,000 CHF at the Antiquorum ‘Quarter Millenium of Vacheron Constantin‘ auction in 2005.
