The black wrist watch has a matt black bezel and calf leather strap; however the Arabic numeral markers are orange in shade. The small aperture for the date of the month is shown at 3 o' clock of the wristwatch. The minute markers are visible at the outer rim of the dial. The stainless steel case is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass which makes the wristwatch look more dashing.

SIHH 2018 - Christoph Grainger-Herr of IWC, On The New Collection - Monochrome Watches
We always knew that IWC was going to be one of the stand-outs of SIHH 2018, ever since the brand began previewing the limited-edition timepieces from its 150th Anniversary collection last month. Suffice to say, we have not been disappointed. In total, an impressive 28 new limited-edition references were introduced, along with two new calibres. It's a welcome departure for the brand, which normally focuses on refreshing one collection per year (in 2017, it was the Da Vinci collection). In this short video, we speak to Christoph Grainger-Herr, global CEO of IWC, to learn more about the 150th Anniversary collection and the significance of the new two calibres introduced. As many people seem to agree, one of the main highlights from SIHH 2018 is the IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition 150 years, with centralised digital hours and minutes display. A vintage re-edition of sorts, this unusual design is actually based on one of the most iconic pocket-watches ever manufactured by IWC, the Pallweber

After presenting the Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional, the watch that made the world's deepest dive to the very bottom of the Mariana Trench (with a water-resistance of 15,000m), the brand now presents another piece of high-tech engineering with a focus, this time, on lightness, comfort and resistance. Meet the 55g-only Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light, a new concept-looking (but soon to be commercialized) timepiece designed especially for sport.?Purpose-built for sportsmenThe Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light is a true purpose-built watch, made without compromise with maximum comfort and resistance during sports activities in mind. Baselworld 2019 - Patek Philippe World Time 5231J (Specs & Price)
World Time watches are among Patek Philippe's most popular complications, with a history spanning over 80 years resulting from the watches manufactured with Louis Cottier in the 1930s. In 1950 came the first World Time watch with two crowns, the reference 2523, which allowed the user to change the reference city when travelling. Fast forward, the year 2000 marked a revival for world time watches with reference 5110. The 5110 was replaced in 2006 with the 5130, itself replaced by the Patek Philippe 5230 in 2016.The Patek Philippe 5130 had its enamel dial version with reference 5131. At Baselworld 2019, Patek Philippe presents a worthy heir to this long legacy of world timers with the reference 5231J with a yellow gold case and a cloisonne enamel dial. Pre-SIHH 2015: Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Flyback - a new record setter (specs and price) - Monochrome-Watches
If we had to?categorize Piaget into a single subject, it would be for its ultra-slim watches. The brand is indeed not only good at it, it is the unbeatable leader. The?Altiplano has always been the preferred field for Piaget to set thickness records (well, an?absence of thickness to be precise). Last year, the brand came up with the?slimmest of the?slim watches. For the 2015 edition of the SIHH, Piaget?surprises us with a another record: the slimmest chronograph?ever produced, the?Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Flyback. And its?thinness is not its only interesting feature. One single data can sum-up Piaget’s?indisputable?hegemony: 3.65mm. Yes, that’s the thickness of a sapphire crystal, a case, a dial, a set of hands, a movement and a caseback. The Piaget Altiplano 900P is truly impressive. Until?now, Piaget has?accustomed us to slim but simple watches: time-only, small second or date were the only indications displayed on the Altiplano’s dials, which of course remains e
IWC adds the stainless steel Ingenieur Dual Time to the Ingenieur collection - Monochrome Watches
Every year IWC redesigns / updates one of the six ‘families’ in their collection and this year that was the Aquatimer family. Last year it was the Ingenieur family of watches that we extensively covered?here, here, here and here. Although this is the ‘Aquatimer year’, IWC has just announced two new members of the Ingenieur family of watches: a carbon/ceramic Ingenieur Automatic and a stainless steel Ingenieur Dual Time with either a silver-plated or a black dial.?The new Ingenieur Dual Time merges the functionality of the Ingenieur Dual Time Titanium (that we reviewed here) with the aesthetics of the Ingenieur Automatic (fully reviewed here). Not only in terms of functionality, but also in terms of size, it stays close to the titanium Dual Time, measuring 43 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in height. The new Ingenieur Dual Time is?an alternative for the GMT-Master II, because it features a similar functionality that is?the independently adjustable hour hand. Someth
