Video Gerald Charles Maestro 2.0 Premier 2021 Green Dial
The name Gerald Charles might not be as familiar as Gerald Genta, but they actually belong to the same man… Gerald Charles Genta. The man has gone down in watchmaking history as one of the most successful designers of the 20th century, being the genius mind behind the Royal Oak, the Nautilus, the Omega Constellation, the UG Polerouter or the Cartier Pasha – among many, many other creations. Although the Gerald Genta brand was sold to Bvlgari in 2000, Mr Genta ended up pursuing another own watch brand in parallel, Gerald Charles. And it is back, with watches inspired by his own designs, such as the Gerald Charles Maestro 2.0 Premier 2021 Green Limited Edition we review in the video above!Now located in Lugano, the brand was backed by the Italian Ziviani family. Following Genta’s death in 2011, Federico Zivani decided it was time to revive the Gerald Charles brand. Last year, Gerald Charles reappeared on the watch scene with the resuscitation of a 2006 design in a disti

Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Meca-10 // Introducing, Specs & Price
Hublot is certainly most known for its luxury sports watches with shaped cases, fusion of material and integrated straps. There is, however, another collection at Hublot that we somehow tend to overlook, a collection of shaped watches, with a barrel-like case, the Spirit Of Big Bang. Part of the 2020 novelties presented in Dubai, Hublot introduced its 10-day power reserve movement in this collection with the Spirit Of Big Bang Meca-10.This combination is a first for Hublot. Indeed, for the first time the Spirit Of Big Bang,?a collection that is gaining importance at Hublot, is receiving the popular Meca-10 manufacture calibre. Why only now…? Well, since the Spirit Of Big Bang has a shaped case, encasing the Meca-10 movement required some important adaptations on the movement to make it shaped just like the case of this watch. Behind this watch lies the wish of Hublot to have harmony between cases and movements, meaning that the mechanics should follo
Introducing: Mike Horn's new Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro PAM01676
One of the most publicised adventurers and a Panerai ambassador for around two decades, Mike Horn has been known to push the limits of his gears – watch included – to levels that you and I would probably never dare to imagine. Should his polar expeditions, high-altitude climbs or even underwater explorations be considered a testimony to the resistance of Panerai’s watches to extreme conditions? Well, it should at least provide reassurance that the watches can handle rough terrains. The latest joint creation of Horn and Panerai is a new 44mm Submersible instrument designed for all terrains (land and sea) with a modern look that’s familiar to previous editions. Meet the new QuarantaQuattro PAM01676.?Horn’s latest collab is based on the well-known Submersible QuarantaQuattro – a fancy Italian word to tell you that its case measures 44mm (things always sound better in Italian…) – meaning the brand’s range of dive and exploration watches
2008 -> 2009 - Monochrome Watches
2008 has been quite an exiting year when it comes to watches. As a collector and admirer of fine timepieces i have seen some great new watches. Technically the brands start working with new materials, not only for the cases, but also for movement parts. When it comes to design it seem that the main focus is still on large watches, but i wouldn’t be amazed if this will change next year already.Coming from the Netherlands it also made me proud to see the birth of a new Dutch watch brand. The brother Bart and Tim Gronefeld showed their first watch during the European GTG a friend and i organised last november. The Gronefeld GTM06 shows an incredibly high standard of finish and the minite repaeter gong… well, you have to hear them to believe the incredible sound coming from a small wristwatch!From a personal point of view i hope to see some more reasonably priced and reasonably sized watches next year. Not every brand needs a tourbillon i think. And not every brand needs to hav
