Luxury Watches |
The IWC IW3290-05 is an Aquatimer category watch. It comes with a subtle blue dial that features stick type index hour markers and silver minute hands. The dial also has an evenly placed date section. The luxury watch is encased in a stainless steel framework that accounts for the strong and durable structure that lasts long with time. The sapphire crystals are embedded in the design to make the glass resist scratches due to any environmental stresses. The caliber of this watch is automatic and the reserve can last up to 42 hours in total.

Hands-On - Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Skeleton
Since its introduction in 2016, I have a soft spot for the latest generation of Vacheron Constantin Overseas, whether the classic time-and-date model or more complex editions like the Dual-Time. Even though slightly less coveted than its direct competitors (the Royal Oak and the Nautilus), it remains one of the best options in the luxury sports watch category, with a superb execution. But then came the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton… And now, this adds to the handsome design some truly impressive watchmaking and decoration skills. A niche model for sure, but one with a lot of appeal.BRIEF BACKGROUND OF THE OVERSEASIn 1977, Vacheron Constantin introduced reference 222 to mark the brand's 222nd anniversary. Designed by Jorg Hysek, the 222 was a high-end sports watch with a tonneau-shaped 120m water-resistant case, a serrated bezel and an integrated bracelet. Reinvented in 2016, under the aegis of artistic director Christian Selmoni, the Overseas collection is Vache
Kudoke 2 Gruner Wald Special Edition - Monochrome Watches
The small independent brand Kudoke is getting some much-deserved traction and attention, especially after winning the Petite Aiguille prize at last year's Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve. After its classical time-only Kudoke 1, and its prize-winning Kudoke 2 with hand-engraved day/night indicator, Kudoke released the Nocturne version of the latter, with a dark, anthracite-coloured dial. Now the brand is launching a collaboration piece with a splash of colour: the Kudoke 2 Gruner Wald Special Edition.Kudoke is the eponymous brand founded by Stefan Kudoke, a member of the Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants (AHCI). The collections can be divided into two categories. The first group of watches offered by Kudoke is produced under the KUNSTwerk label, highly unique, hand-engraved and hand-skeletonised pieces. The KUNSTwerk watches capture the imagination of its owners and the creativity of the maker, such as the KudOktopus and the Free KudOktopus. These two creations feature a r
Categorizing Independent Watchmakers - Monochrome Watches
Independent watchmakers are in many ways different from other watch companies. But in the end they all make wristwatches we enjoy wearing and collecting. Watch lovers who frequent watchforums like Horomundi, The PuristS Pro, Timezone and Watchuseek may have seen or read something about independent watchmaking. But?for most of them (you?) the independent watchmakers might still be unknown. Let’s be real, it’s already hard to keep track of all existing big name brands and their watches. Let alone some small independent watchmakers whos watches are in a special section for independent watchmaking and whos names don’t sound familiar.Independent watchmakers don’t have an advertising budget ?like Breitling or …. Omega 2015 Novelties - Omega Baselworld 2015 - The watches we hope to see (including the new Railmaster) - Monochrome-Watches
Yes, we plead guilty! We are recidivists. We’ve been doing it before with . We did it again with Tudor. Now, it’s time for us to share with you our predictions for what could (very well) be the watches that Omega will introduce this year at Baselworld. Last year, the brand teased us with several videos and darken photos that suggested a new Omega Seamaster 300. Fortunately, our predictions were quite accurate and Omega came with the Master Co-Axial edition of the SM300. This year, we are including in our?Omega 2015 Novelties some cool watches that could very well be there in two weeks. The re-issue of the Omega RailmasterThis one is nearly too obvious. The first Omega Railmaster was part of a collection of 3 professionally-oriented watches launched in 1957 – a collection that includes the Omega Speedmaster CK2915, the Omega Seamaster 300m CK2913 and the Omega Railmaster CK2914. The first one was a racing chronograph that ended to be the official NASA watch worn on the
Patek Philippe 5320G Perpetual Calendar Salmon
Patek Philippe unveils its novelties for 2022 at Watches & Wonders, including this attractive salmon dial version of its Perpetual Calendar 5320G. The novelty is limited to the new dial colour, and the case and movement specifications remain identical to the 2017 model. Reference 5320 made its debut in 2017 in a white gold case with a cream-coloured lacquered dial and a strong vintage aura. Although it was not inspired by one specific vintage model, several key traits from Patek’s past references found their way on board. Patek’s first serially produced perpetual calendar wristwatch of 1942, known as reference 1526, had its fair share of influence in the design of the 2017 model. In particular, the layout of the 1526, with its two rectangular windows at noon for the month and weekday and the sub-dial at 6 o’clock with the moon phases and date were recreated on the 2017 perpetual calendar. As Brice points out in his review, the Arabic numerals and blued syringe han
