Fairly new in the market is the brand new IWC's 2594 Pilot's automatic grey dial unisex wrist watch. The IWC kept it simple, yet elegant, by contrasting the sharp silver bezel with black dial, and brown leather strap. You cannot have a dress/jewelry conundrum with such a timepiece that goes well with anything. With the brand name ¡®IWC' standing tall and proud at 12 o' clock, and a small window (aperture) at 3 ¡®o clock to help keep track of the days, the rest of the hours are marked by Arabic numerals. Its simple design also makes it easy to wear and match.

Interview Wilhelm Schmid Lange Sohne on Managing Collectability and Demand
It is no secret that a large part of the watch industry is currently facing a rise in popularity, with a demand often surpassing the production capacity. While some have the ability to release more watches on the market, it's tempting for a few companies to benefit from this situation and to cap production and increase desirability. And for some, the situation is a bit more complex. Answering demand isn't always easy, specifically when talking about high-end, mostly hand-made watches. Production isn't a matter of machines, it's all about skilled people and their hands. With this situation in mind, we thought it was the perfect time for us to sit down with the CEO of A. Lange & Sohne, Mister Wilhelm Schmid, in order to understand what is the brand's strategy when it comes to managing demand, to find the right collectors, to avoid those who are in for the short run In short, to make sure that the few but handsome watches the Saxon brand is capable of manufacturing end up on the right
Channeling Your Inner Gordon Gekko With Six Yellow Gold Watches
Trends come and go, and we see the same happening in the watchmaking industry. Retro is still very much hot, so it’s only natural multiple brands dive into their archives and see what can be brought back to life one way or another. Other brands might rather take a prised baby into new directions by pairing together new materials and colours. With these ebb and flow movements of the industry, however, some surprising styles pop up every now and then. Until not too long ago yellow gold was often seen as too flashy, too outspoken a material, but it seems it has broken those shackles again, and is on the up and up! So with that in mind, we once more take a look at six full yellow-gold watches to satisfy your inner Gordon Gekko.piaget polo 79In what is a celebratory year for both the Polo (45 years) and Piaget itself (150 years), the party kicks off with this superb Polo 79. This brings back the original design of the Polo, as envisioned by Yves Piaget in the late 1970s. The full yell
Omega Constellation Manhattan Co-Axial Master Chronometer 29mm - Review, Price
Let's face it, there aren't that many women's watches out there that can be worn day in, day out in just about any environment. Either they are beautiful dress watches with luxurious details that require extra-special care or they are downsized versions of men's sports watches. Striking a balance between a sporty, resilient watch that is elegant enough to transition from the tennis court to a cocktail party is no easy feat. WATCH & ACT! - Together with Time+Tide, Help Fight the Australian Bushfire Crisis With Great Watches To Be Auctioned - Monochrome Watches
Today we have a very special story… A story that I’m both sad and happy to write. Sad, for the main reason that it is all due to one of the world’s worse ecological events, the current Australian bushfire crisis. Yet, I’m also happy to write these words as multiple actors within the watch community – watch manufacturers and watch media – have decided to join a cause and to act. For once, all together, we can let our love for watches go a long way further than our wrists. We can make our passion be a solution to raise funds to help a cause. This cause is “Watch & Act!”, an auction of 16 watches with 100% of proceeds to be distributed across charities to help fight Australia’s environmental nightmare. The bushfire situationIf you’ve watched the news in recent weeks, you can’t have missed what’s happening in Australia. The “Bushfire Crisis” is now known as one of the most terrible ecological events of t
First Look: The New Sporty Certina DS-7 Chrono Auto
Last year, Certina ventured into the popular 1970s-inspired integrated-bracelet sports watch category. In this space, fellow Swatch Group brand Tissot has made waves with its highly successful and accessible PRX series. While the 2023 Certina DS-7 Powermatic 80 models offer a simple time-and-date functionality, they bring a more contemporary, slimmer, and less angular design, setting them apart from the PRX collection – though there’s no need to pit the two lines against each other. The distinction becomes even clearer with the introduction of the DS-7 Chrono Auto line. The new Certina chronograph leans more towards the sporty and robust modern aesthetic the brand is known for rather than a totally vintage-inspired look. However, tasteful retro elements are still present, adding a subtle nostalgic touch. The new Certina DS-7 Chrono Auto comes in a 42mm stainless steel case, offering 100m of water resistance. It features a slim tachymeter bezel and sap
