The delectable Studie Underd0g Strawberries & Cream
Studio Underd0g brings some much-needed fun and light-heartedness to the watch scene. As a one-man, one-product microbrand, British designer Richard Benc decided to follow his instincts and inject some fun colours into watchmaking combined with excellent design and manual-winding chronograph movements produced by Seagull. Teaming up with watch and tennis journalist Miguel Seabra, the latest Studio Underd0g watch is this delectable Strawberries & Cream chronograph, a colour combination designed to evoke lazy days in the summer sun watching Wimbledon with a bowl of strawberries and cream. The watch will be available for pre-orders from the 9th-16th of August and then whisked out of production.Tennis watchesForget about the big luxury brands that kit out famous tennis wrists with ludicrously priced watches represented by alliances like Roger Federer and , Rafa Nadal and Richard Mille or Serena Williams and Audemars Piguet. Parmigiani presents the Bugatti Aerolithe - Monochrome Watches
In the watch industry there are many collaborations between watches and cars. The combination of mechanics and design, masculinity and speed are easily linked. Just think of Ferrari (now-a-days with Hublot), Porsche (now-a-days Eterna, but it used to be IWC), Bentley (of course with Breitling) and Aston Martin (Jaeger-LeCoultre). Today we can show you the brand new Parmigiani Bugatti Aerolithe, a new milestone in the already intense collaboration between Swiss High-End watchmaker Parmigiani and French ultra luxury car maker Bugatti.Parmigiani does not simply “brand” the watch with the car-maker’s name, but instead goes the extra mile. Introducing The New, More Compact Singer Reimagined 1969 Collection
Behind the name Singer Reimagined is another brand that is not related to watchmaking, but that crafts some of the most desirable restomoded Porsche 911s, Singer Vehicle Design. Since car guys are often watch guys and vice-versa, Rob Dickinson, founder of Singer, decided it was time to create a watch as remarkable as his reimagined and restored 911s. Rob teamed up with two men with serious watchmaking track record; Marco Borraccino (a watch designer), and?Jean-Marc Wiederrecht (Agenhor). The result, the?Singer Reimagined Track 1. A nostalgic late-1960s design, a cutting-edge chronograph movement and a watch that was fueled by passion. After several iterations of the Track 1 and the second model, the Flytrack, it is time for the brand to evolve with a new, slightly less radical yet highly appealing range of models, the new Singer Reimagined 1969 collection.?The idea behind the two new Singer Reimagined 1969 models – chronograph and timer – is not to make a revolution, but mo
Chronoswiss Flying Regulator Night and Day - hands-on review (specs & price)
Chronoswiss has built its reputation around an easily recognizable design first and, most importantly, on its extensive (for over 30 years now) use of a specific display: the regulator. Quite old-school for some years, the brand has been revived recently and has started to offer stronger and more modern designs, for instance with the?Flying Regulator Open Gear or a Bit-Coin inspired watch. Today, the brand presents a new model with added complications: the?Chronoswiss Flying Regulator Night and Day.Basically, the recipe used for the creation of the?Chronoswiss Flying Regulator Night and Day is the same as the Open Gear: a mix of traditional?design codes with more modern features, an architectural construction of the dial, with raised parts and apparent mechanical parts and, of course, the use of the iconic and dear-to-the-brand regulator display. This has become the hallmark of the brand since its first regulator wristwatch in 1987 and this is clearly not about to change. Yet, while th
