A. Lange and Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 25th Anniversary (Specs & Price)
The Lange 1 “25th Anniversary”, introduced prior to the SIHH 2019, was the first of a commemorative series of ten watches. Two other limited edition pieces followed, with the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase?and the Little Lange 1. For the fourth model in the collection, A. Lange & Sohne introduces the most complicated and exclusive model of this watch family. Meet the 25-piece A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar “25th Anniversary”.The recipe for this fourth watch is pretty simple: take the most complex Lange 1 model, adapt it to the 25th-anniversary theme and you’ll get a very discreet watch (at first) that hides an incredible level of sophistication. The base for this new edition is familiar and avails itself of the same proportions and movement as this version we reviewed a few years ago. Needless to say, we’re in front of one of Lange’s masterpieces here. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Introducing IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Lake Tahoe IW503008
People who keep a close eye on Formula 1, and in particular on 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton might have already spotted this one, but IWC has just unveiled its latest TOP GUN family member. And it’s a big one, literally. What started in 2022 under the Colours of TOP GUN name is expanded once more with the introduction of the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Lake Tahoe IW503008. And sure, the concept of a coloured Big Pilot’s Watch with a perpetual calendar display isn’t entirely new, but looks oh-so-cool in full white ceramic! The ‘Colours of TOP GUN‘ sub-genre of IWC watches comprises a few colours so far, all executed in ceramic or Ceratanium. So far, we’ve seen the classical black ceramic, but also Mojave Desert beige, Oceana Blue, Woodland Green and Lake Tahoe white. It’s no surprise what this one is called, as the 46.5mm wide and fully white ceramic case screams ‘Lake Tahoe’ from top to bottom. The a
SIHH 2018 - Patrick Pruniaux of Ulysse Nardin, On The New Collection
The SIHH 2018 has closed its doors yesterday, however we still have some videos to share with you. One of them concerns?Patrick Pruniaux, the recently appointed CEO of Ulysse Nardin, who is presenting the new collection… And there were some novelties, which look at many of the brand’s specialities: innovation, heritage and erotic watches (parental advisory, explicit content…)First watch presented by?Patrick?Pruniaux is to be seen as a cool entry-level option, the Torpilleur Military, a vintage take on the classical Marine Chronometer collection. Second – and this one deserve some attention – is the Freak Vision, a brand new take on an iconic collection, which incorporates several of the innovations introduced in 2017 on the InnoVision 2. Superb display, innovative winding mechanism, technical escapement and a new design, slimmer and more modern… Well done.Last but not least is the Voyeur, an erotic watch with automatons on the dial… depicting q
Introducing The Chopard L.U.C Full Strike In Blue Sapphire
Six years ago, the Chopard L.U.C Full Strike was awarded the Aiguille d'Or prize at the GPHG, thus becoming the proud bearer of the best watch of the year title. Introduced in 2016, the Chopard L.U.C Full Strike was the first minute repeater produced by the manufacture, and it was a timepiece worthy of the highest praise, for it was a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, exhibiting exceptional construction, decoration, and a crystal-clear sound. Recently, L.U.C Full Strike became available in a new exclusive limited edition - in a blue sapphire case. The new Chopard L.U.C Full Strike Blue Sapphire is the evolution of the watch that the brand revealed last year, the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire, with the 42.5 mm case, and crown with its integrated minute repeater pusher made of sapphire. The previous editions were available in cases crafted from ethical Fairmined 18k rose gold (2016) and ethical Fairmined 18k white gold (2018), and all these watches, the most recent edition included,
Revisiting the sleek Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar
Jaeger-LeCoultre's Master Control Calendar broke rank with the past and appeared in an all-steel version two months ago. As the brand's classical, slightly vintage branch, the Master Control family combines technical rigour with aesthetics inspired by the round timepieces made by the brand in the 1950s. Equipped with an interchangeable stainless steel bracelet and a sober silver dial, the Master Control Calendar in steel is sportier, more contemporary and far more versatile than the leather strap options.Earlier this year, we covered the blue dial model of the Master Control Calendar, a limited edition to mark the 30th anniversary of the Master Control line. As you no doubt recall, the particularity of JLC's triple calendar is the jumping date that performs a leap from the 15th to the 16th of each month to ensure the moon phase display is not obscured. However, and apologies to those of you who love blue dials, the watch is a case study in blue. With blue backgrounds for the apertures
