The Longines Flagship Automatic is a great men's collection. This watch comes with an automatic movement and a 42-hour power reserve. It is an all stainless steel watch with a fixed steel bezel along with silver-tone hands and index markers. It is both scratch-resistant and water-resistant, making it a great casual wear watch with a safety release clasp and foldover steel strap.

Oris adds a Green Dial to the Divers Sixty-Five (Specs and Price) - Monochrome Watches
It is only one-and-a-half year ago. That’s when Oris introduced the Divers Sixty-Five, a new kid on the “vintage diver’s watches block”, and collectors around the world embraced this very cool, and very affordable, vintage inspired divers watch. After the first model, with similar hour markers as an old Oris from 1965, a second model with?Grey and Deauville Blue was introduced. At Baselworld this year, Oris launched the 2mm larger bronze Carl Brashear Edition and a ‘normal’ 42mm edition in stainless steel, with ‘normal’ round hour markers and a striking deep, almost electric, blue dial. Now they add a green dial, again with the same round hour markers, and in a 42mm case with domed sapphire crystal.?When you read Monochrome frequently you probably noticed that we’re quite a bunch of snobs when it comes to watches, their design, heritage, build and finishing. Still, we can appreciate the occasional affordable piece, like the first Di
The 2020 Pasha de Cartier Collection (Specs & Price)
Cartier, the renowned Parisian jeweller and watchmaker, is mostly known for its “montres de formes” and has consolidated an unrivalled legacy in the creation of fascinating shaped watches. With its elegant shapes and eccentric cases, Cartier rarely approaches watch design like the rest of the industry and even a simple round watch is never ‘simple’ in terms of design. For 2020, the brand demonstrates this once again, by revamping one of its icons, the watch with the chained crown. Here’s the new Pasha de Cartier Collection.a 1980s cult watchThe story of the Pasha de Cartier goes as far back as 1932 when Louis Cartier created one of the first waterproof watches – thanks to a very unusual crown protection device. It is said that the watch was commissioned by the Pasha of Marrakesh, hence the name of the collection. He requested a watch that would be elegant but capable of accompanying him on his regular swims and daily bathing. The iconic features of t
Omega Speedmaster 38 'Cappuccino' - Glamour and Resilience - Monochrome Watches
Last month we covered the launch of two new gold Speedmaster 38mm watches for women. Presented in either Sedna or yellow gold, the novelties flesh out the growing collection that currently has a line-up of 19 models in a wide variety of case materials, two-tone and single tone dials and the option of diamonds on the bezel. Although there are plenty of Speedmaster 38mm chronographs that play the unisex card extremely well, the model we had for our hands-on session is this beautiful Sedna gold and diamond version with a ‘cappuccino’ colour scheme.Size does matterThe 38mm Speedmaster made its debut in 2017, exactly 60 years after the introduction of the first Speedmaster in Omega's 1957 trilogy of Master instrument watches. For starters, the size of this watch is absolutely perfect. After all, it is a sports watch and making the Speedmaster any smaller would cancel the personality of the watch. Like the Speedmaster that landed on the Moon (ST 105.012), the case construction of
Panerai - Dive into Time Exhibition: The History and Future of Panerai on Display in Florence - May 18th - 21st 2016 - Monochrome Watches
Whether you'll be on a trip to or live near Florence, you now have an added reason to go! (Or just a very good reason to visit this superb Italian city). Officine Panerai will run an exhibition Panerai - Dive into Time, from 18 to 21 May 2016, in the crypt of the former Basilica of San Pancrazio, which hosts the Marino Marini Museum. So when you like dive watches and watch history and your spouse / partner does not, this is your chance to go to the same place!Officine Panerai has always had a special place in the hearts of watch collectors and watch aficionados. Whenever you see a Panerai from further away and you can't read the inscription, you immediately recognize the brand. And that's quite an achievement. The company started in 1860 and has been a supplier of precision navigation and time instruments to the Italian Navy for many years. Who does not know the Luminor and Radiomir watches, amongst others, used by commando frogmen? The company is part of the Richemont Group since 1997
We've compiled a list of watches sized below 40mm.
Watchmaking is very much a trend-driven industry, with, of course, a core selection of models, colours, sizes and materials standing the test of time. Colours come and go, sizes go up and down, and although new materials are regularly experimented with, the vast majority come in steel, with titanium, bronze and gold being the most popular alternatives. When it comes to the size of the watch, this is most often dictated by the movement, the intended purpose and its overall design. But, as these five watches will show you, the current trend for sizing a watch down to more compact dimensions results in some genuinely cool watches.Baltic Tricompax ChronographIn just a relatively short amount of time, Baltic has transcended the status of a microbrand and established itself as a name that’s most likely here to stay. Previously Baltic relied on Asian movements (no shame in that!) but recently upped its game as it presented the Baltic x Peter Auto Tricompax Special Edition racing set. Th
