Luxury Watches |
This timepiece by Longines has more of a sporty look to it. The HydroConquest L36894592 has a black dial and is set with silver-toned Arabic numerals and hands. It also displays the date at the 3 o'clock mark. The red bezel of the watch gives a splendid contrast to the dial. The case of the watch measures 41mm and is made with stainless steel. The strap, meanwhile, is made from black rubber, further enhancing the sporty look.

Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Sandblasted Trilogy of Metals (Titanium, Steel and Pink Gold) Baselworld 2018 - Specs & Price
Exactly a year ago, Bvlgari stunned the watchmaking world by launching what was then the thinnest automatic watch on the market, the?Octo Finissimo Automatic. The best thing about this watch was that it had nothing to do with a shy, demure timepiece. Instead,?Bvlgari came out with what we think is a true example of a luxury sports watch (see it face to face with the mother of them all, the RO). For Baselworld 2018, what was a single watch becomes a trilogy and a fully-fledged collection, with the introduction of the?Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Sandblasted in steel and 18k rose gold.Impressive. This is the word that first came to mind when we discovered the?Octo Finissimo Automatic at Baselworld 2017. Not only in terms of mechanics. Not only in terms of styling. The mix of the two was an utterly impressive performance. Bvlgari already had the thinnest tourbillon and the thinnest minute repeater on the market. Then it launched the world’s thinnest automatic movement, placing i
Hands-On - Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military Pre-SIHH 2018 - Specs & Price
A few weeks ago, Ulysse Nardin announced its Pre-SIHH 2018 watches, which include 2 very classical watches – the Marine Tourbillon Blue Enamel and the Classico Grand Feu – with all the DNA of the brand: enamel dial, nice in-house movement, Marine inspiration, elegance with a twist and relatively affordable price. A third watch was presented, however a much more original one: the?Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military. Surprised by this piece, we had to check it in the metal to vote in favour (or not) of this new Military take on the Marine roots. To understand the new?Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military, we have to back to mid-2017, when UN introduced a new, accessible and essential version of its Marine watch, the Torpilleur. This watch, deliberately inspired by some mid-19th century Marine Chronometers manufactured by the brand, and at the same time cleared of most of the fancy features found on the?standard Marine collection (see here for an example) was a refreshi
First Look: The Titanium-Clad Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometre FB3 SPC.4
ART IN TIME was founded in Monaco by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in 2019, Co-President of Chopard and President of Chronometrie Ferdinand Berthoud. The gallery was established with the vision of creating a unique platform for watch aficionados, curating a select group of brands representing the pinnacle of independent watchmaking. To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the concept, a special edition of the exquisite Ferdinand Berthoud FB3 SPC is unveiled. The result is a limited series of just five pieces: the Chronometre FB 3SPC.4, crafted for the first time in sandblasted titanium.First presented in 2022, the FB3 SPC represents the third contemporary creation from Ferdinand Berthoud. It answers the demand for a slightly smaller and more accessible model within the Berthoud lineup, but it remains firmly rooted in the brand's dedication to mechanical precision and fine craftsmanship. This work of art was the winner of the Chronometry Prize at the 2023 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve
The new IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVII - Monochrome Watches
IWC focusses heavily on the Pilot’s Watch collection and there are many new models and many old models have been re-designed. One of the re-designed models is the IWC Mark XVII, the follow-up of the Mark XVI.?The biggest change in?comparison?to the Mark XVI, is the increased diameter. While the Mark XVI was 39 mm in diameter, the new Mark XVII is 41 mm. Compared to its ‘ancient’ predecessor, the Mark XI and Mark XII, which is consider the true pilot’s watch by aficionados, measures 36 mm in diameter. The new Mark XVII keep most of the design elements of its predecessor, the Mark XVI. The dial keeps its great legibility, with the matte black dial and crisp white hour mark
The 2020 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Collection
Introduced in 1992, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Collection has always been the classic model of the brand, with a focus on technical rigour, certification and visual restraint. Its name comes from the fact that it was the first of Jaeger-LeCoultre's collections to benefit from its pioneering ‘1000 Hours Control’ certification. In constant evolution since its launch, today the Maison unveils its four proposals for 2020. So, let’s take a look at the 2020 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Collection. This new Master Control Collection has to be seen as a subtle evolution, a modernisation of the range with a casual twist, rather than a complete overhaul. As many of you know, its name comes from JLC’s own ‘1000 Hours Control’ certification, a series of tests on the cased-up watch (not just its movement) to guarantee its perfect execution and its precision. It is one of the most stringent testing protocols in the industry today and every model in this
