Luxury Watches |
The Longines Hydroconquest L37824969 is a great watch with exceptional performance. It has a sunray blue dial with applied Arabic numerals and indexes and luminescent round minute markers. It features a date window at the three o'clock position with a blue rubber strap that compliments the overall dial of the watch. It is an automatic watch with self-winding machinery, providing 64 hours of power reserve. It doesn't get any better.

Vacheron Constantin FiftySix Sepia-Brown Collection (Price)
During this unprecedented virtual' edition of Watches & Wonders, Vacheron Constantin unveils a new sepia-brown dial colour for its Fiftysix automatic and complete calendar references. Underscoring the relaxed vintage mood of the collection, the warm brown dials are housed in 40mm pink gold cases and come with a matching brown calfskin strap with beige stitching. Concerning the movement, case and layout of the dial, nothing has changed.BackgroundTwo years ago, Vacheron Constantin launched the Fiftysix collection. Inspired by a model from 1956 (Ref. 6073), which was the first automatic, water-resistant watch made by Vacheron, the collection was designed to capture the current mood for vintage watches and attract a younger audience. Positioned as an entry-level model, the Fiftysix was advertised with catchwords like retro-contemporary', relaxed' and a collection with cosmopolitan style'. Launched in three models in 2018 - automatic with date, day/date with power reserve indicator and
The Vintage Corner - The Universal Geneve Space Compax
This watch, the Universal Geneve Space Compax, is one of the classics of 1960s design, with all of the great elements needed to make a fairly complicated wristwatch seem practical and attractive at the same time. In the 1950s, the final DNA Chain double helix was discovered and influenced furniture designers with their coat stands and hat racks. Later, the 1960s were all about racing cars and ultimately Space Travel. The thoughts on the name of this watch are that Universal Geneve wanted to create the idea that its watch could also be adopted by NASA for the Space Programme but actually, it was just the epitome of European styling.Alain Delon, Romy Schneider and Princess Grace's 1958 Riva Tri-ToneThe Universal Geneve Space Compax is a beautiful watch but not quite as robust as the Speedmaster – something I found out when restoring these watches back to their former glory. It is more a watch to step off your Riva motorboat at the quayside of the Monaco Yacht Club, just like the 19
Buying Guide - Six Racing-inspired chronographs for Petrolheads
There’s no denying that “Boys and their Toys” is still pretty much a thing in today’s society. It’s also a given fact that watches, cars, and especially the combination of the two, still very much works. There’s of course a long-standing relationship between the automotive industry and watchmaking, whether it’s mechanical, quartz or fully digital. This originates from the necessity of precision timekeeping in racing. Nowadays, it’s more about getting that racing feel on the wrist as more mechanical chronographs are used to boil an egg instead of timing a race. Nevertheless, these six race-ready chronograph watches perfectly demonstrate the symbiosis between cars and watches!Tissot PRS 516 ChronographTissot is one of those brands that regularly showcases its ability to create good designs with serious mechanical watchmaking at a decent price. A perfect example of this, and one that suits today’s topic of choice, is the PRS 516 Chrono
Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Bucherer BLUE Limited Edition
Since its introduction in mid-2021, the Tissot PRX has become some sort of a phenomenon for the brand. Surfing on the vibe of the high-end luxury sports watch with integrated bracelet, yet with a far more accessible price despite its great execution, the collection has rapidly expanded to now feature classic steel models, steel-and-gold editions, a trendy green dial and now a bold chronograph version. Today, it’s a limited edition that’s being launched, together with the world’s largest watch retailer, as part of the so-called Bucherer BLUE theme. And yes, if this Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Bucherer BLUE does look familiar, it’s also more relevant price-wise than the blue-gold edition offered by the brand itself.?Being number one when it comes to selling watches, Bucherer has enough power to have its own collection of collaboration watches, all turning around the same theme of blue. The latest watch to surface from this collection is an accessible one, and a very
Tissot Heritage Navigator Sageata Orientului Limited Edition
Tissot and its Romanian distributor Albini Prassa celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Franco-Romanian airline company CFRNA (Compagnie Franco-Roumaine de Navigation Aerienne), which was the first to connect Europe and the Asian continent by air. Tribute is paid by launching a limited edition of the Tissot Heritage Navigator, a well-known watch that we've covered here, renamed the S?geata Orientului/East Arrow to mark the occasion.Founded in 1920, CFRNA was the first operative commercial transcontinental company in the history of aviation. The S?geata Orientului (or Fleche d'Orient, East Arrow) offered flights from Paris to Istanbul in just one day, via Strasbourg, Prague, Warsaw, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade and Bucharest. A century later, Tissot and Albini Prassa, its official distributor in Romania, pay tribute to the S?geata Orientului with a limited edition world time watch featuring a black dial and a city ring with the cities of Paris, Bucharest and Istanbul in r
