Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso case construction - Monochrome Watches
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s reverso is a remarkable watch. This is because the case can be turned around while it remains on the wrist. Jaeger-LeCoultre developed this case construction to protect the vulnerable crystal from the hardship of the polo game. On one of my favorite forums, The PuristS Pro, a member?posted photos of his Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande GMT?undergoing a full service and thus being?taken apart. All photos where taken by the watchmaker performing the service. The photos give a very interesting view of the case construction of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso and especially the mechanism that enables flipping the case around.?Here is a photo of one of my favorites of this Jaeger LeCoultre series… the Reverso Grande GMT. Re-issue IWC Aquatimer - Monochrome Watches
Last year Longines announced a re-issue of an old Longines dive watch, the Longines Legend Diver. This year IWC does the same, only not with just one watch but with six vintage beauties. The resemblance of the six re-issues is incredibly close to the original models. Here are two of these beauties, the re-issue of the Aquatimer and the Ingenieur.IWC Ingenieur – vintage collectionIWC Aquatimer – vintage collectionPersonally i think the Aquatimer is a fairly good copy of the original, but somehow it misses a bit of the vintage looks. I think they did a better job with the Ingenieur giving it a vintage look. If the writing on the dial would have been ‘International Watch Co.’, like on the original version, i would have liked it better. At Horomundi you can read more about the specifications of the six IWC re-issues.Shortly Longines started delivering the Legend Diver to dealers in several countries, but dealers and customers in the Netherlands will have to be more

Video - Comeback of HYT with Davide Cerrato and the New Hastroid
HYT Watches is a brand like no other on the independent watch scene. Launched in 2012, HYT created a buzz with their unique meca-fluidic technology, displaying time with fluids. During the pandemic in 2020, the brand announced it was going out of business Still, just a few months later, HYT is back with a new CEO and Creative Director at his helm, Davide Cerrato. A veteran of the watch industry, Cerrato made a name for himself with brands such as Panerai, Tudor or Montblanc. The launch of this first creation, the Hastroid, was the perfect opportunity to meet him. In the in-depth video on top of this article, we talk with Davide Cerrato about the re-launch of the brand and the whole new HYT Hastroid watch.?Davide Cerrato, newly-appointed CEO of HYT WatchesBehind HYT is a concept, a vision of displaying time in an unprecedented and clearly unnatural manner.
