La Grande Classique series by Longines has some of the loveliest watches for ladies, and this one is no different. The white mother of pearl dial has a chic appearance with diamond hour markers. Its bezel has lovely circular diamonds studded in it with a silver background. The stainless steel bracelet has a nice polish on it, which helps it stay new for a long time.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Frosted Gold Purple - Review, Price
You are all familiar with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, with its history, and its multiple manifestations but the model we have for our hands-on session today is going to elicit some very extreme reactions, good and bad. Although there is nothing novel under the hood or structurally about this Royal Oak chronograph, this is a very particular piece and as such is a limited edition of 200 pieces. What we're looking at here today - and coming to terms with - is a 41mm Royal Oak chronograph with a frosted white gold case and a loud purple dial. Hate it or love it, let's get to know it a little better.Born in the 1970s, the Royal Oak was a child of its timeLeading on from the flower power groove that marked the 1960s, the 1970s heralded a turbulent decade marked by student unrest, Vietnam, Watergate, the oil crisis, bell-bottoms, lava lamps, rock music and disco lights. However, for watch lovers, the most significant date of this decade is 1972, the year Gerald Genta's Royal Oak watch was
OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Steel 310.20.42.50.01.001 (Specs & Price)
Earlier this year, Omega introduced a new limited edition of the Speedmaster… but not any kind of edition, since this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing and thus, the 50th anniversary of a Speedmaster worn on the wrist of astronauts while walking on the Moon! And while we thought this Moonshine Gold version was the end of the story, we were wrong. So… Say hello to the OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition, in STEEL!In March 2019, Omega presented a (very appealing) limited edition of the Speedmaster to mark the half-century anniversary of the Moonwatch's Lunar landing, with the Moonshine Gold and burgundy Speedy 310.60.42.50.99.001, a watch available in just 1,014 pieces and priced at CHF 32,000 (excl. VAT)… Price apart, the watch was inspired by the vintage reference BA145.022 produced from 1969 to 1973, easily recognizable thanks to its full yellow case/bracelet/dial and its burgundy bezel. The Moonshine gold Omega Speedmaster A
Interview with Richard Krajicek - IWC's Friend of the Brand - Monochrome Watches
I think we don't have to explain the concept of brand ambassadors and that most high-end watch brands have a “few” celebrities that can be considered “Friend of the Brand. Globally IWC has quite a few friends of the brand, and also in every market there are some local friends of the brand. We had the chance to sit down with Richard Krajicek, former tennis champion who won Wimbledon in 1996, defeating Pete Sampras in the quarterfinals – Sampras' only defeat between 1993 and 2000! Krajicek retired from the ATP circuit in 2003 and in 2004 he became tournament director of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. He also runs the Richard Krajicek Foundation, which builds sports facilities for children in inner-city areas in the Netherlands. That's why we think that Krajicek is the perfect brand ambassador for IWC. His own foundation and the Laureus Sports for Good foundation that IWC supports, show quite some resemblance. What was your first expensive timepi
The Petrolhead Corner - The Tolman Peugeot 205 GTI
The 1980s are not exactly known as a decade of refinement. After all, it’s the period where shoulder pads, spandex and leg warmers were all the rage. It was a decade with plenty of conflict and controversy the world over, but also tremendous progress. The rise of the computer and the birth of the internet are perhaps the foremost technological advancements. From a cultural perspective, it brought forth superstars like Madonna and Michael Jackson, movies like Rain Man, several Star Wars episodes and Top Gun. When looking back on the automotive side of things in the 1980s, the styling was at times rather questionable. Coming out of the oil crisis of the 1970s, design took a turn towards compact and more fuel-efficient cars on one end and sharp-edged futuristic cars on the other. Two prime examples are the DMC Delorean made famous in the Back To The Future Franchise, and the Peugeot 205 GTI, an icon in Group B rallying. And that latter is today’s topic of choice, more specific
