Longines' La Grande Classique de Longines L49084952 sets the company class apart with the raw beauty of the timepiece. The sunray blue dial and belt works quite wonderfully with the silver minute and hour hands, and the silver painted rectangular bars serving as hour markers on the dial. The mere simplicity of the timepiece and absence of every other function on the dial itself gives it a rustic charm. The sleek and elegant hourglass shaped timepiece can stand the test of vogue and time all too easily.

Introducing: The Longines Spirit Flyback Now in Titanium
Introduced in 2020, the Longines Spirit collection has been, without a doubt, the brand’s most prolific range in the past few years. Since its presentation, we’ve seen multiple editions, most of them built around the needs of pilots. Following a time-and-date, a?chronograph, a?no-date and recently a cool GMT Zulu time, without mentioning the different sizes, colours or materials, Longines released its flagship model, a large and high-end chronograph with column wheel and flyback, the aptly named Longines Spirit Flyback. First seen in stainless steel and reviving an important complication for the brand, this bold chronograph now comes back in titanium, which might be a good thing given its size.?Longines’ expertise in pilot’s watches is undeniable, as we’ve seen when the Spirit collection was introduced. Great explorers like Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart or Howard Hughes broke records or achieved impressive flights wearing a Longines on the wrist. This
IWC Pilots Watch UTC Spitfire Edition MJ271 ref. IW327101 - SIHH 2019 (Specs & Price)
As part of its thematic focus on Pilot’s Watches for the SIHH 2019,? IWC resurrects one of its signature complications, a device that was used in the past on pilot’s watches, the UTC for “Universal Time Coordinated” – a watch also known as the TZC for “Time Zone Corrector”. A practical?dual-time watch, which is easy to use and fitted with clever features, makes?a lot of sense in the context of a pilot’s watch. We are very pleased to see the return of this complication with the?IWC Pilot's Watch UTC Spitfire Edition MJ271.The UTC Watch by IWCBack in 1998, as part of the prolific Pilot’s Watch collection, IWC launched a new watch named the?UTC Pilot's Watch ref. 3251 (which you can see below). While the design was not surprising – clearly in the vein of the rest of the collection – the complication included in the watch was an interesting development. And don’t be fooled by the simple look of this piece, it is in fac
The Vintage Corner - The Story of Dugena - Or the Poor Mans Heuer?
“Poor Man's Heuer” is a term often used in the vintage collector's world. It refers to a sport or tool watch that was made in the 1960s and 1970s, with design or style cues from racing Heuer watches, but with another brand stamped on the dial. Whether it's the bright colours to accent the dial and hands, the large oversize cases with radial-brushed finishes or racing car references, these were features originally used by Heuer, one of the most prolific chronograph manufacturers of the last century, which also produced watches under other names. The concept of “Poor Man's Heuer” originated in the online Heuer community as “a joke”, something to call a watch, that while not having been made by Heuer, has the look and feel of a vintage Heuer. And today, we'll look at one of these watches, the Dugena Siffert Chronograph – which certainly has something to do with the Heuer Autavia. This situation occurred way before the brands started engaging with h

A few weeks ago i was invited for this dinner and had the chance to see the Zeitwerk, Pour Le Merite Tourbillon and Double Split in the metal. LOG stands for Lange Owners Group. The name doesn’t leave much to explain. Once a year A.Lange und Sohne asks several LOG members, regionally spread all over the world, to host a dinner for their friends and watch buddies. A representative of Lange und Sohne joins the dinner and brings the newest watches. An excellent opportunity for watch collectors and aficionados to see and feel watches like the Lange Zeitwerk, Datograph Perpetual,?Richard Lange ‘Pour le Merite’ and the Tourbograph ‘Pour le Merite’ and many more.Pour le Merite Tourbillon and Tourbograph Pour le MeriteThe whole evening was organized at restaurant Vermeer, right across Central Station in Amsterdam. Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph Blue & Compass Bezel - Price
Taking inspiration from an original Minerva monopusher chronograph of the 1930s, the 1858 Automatic Chronograph now comes with a blue dial and a new bidirectional steel bezel inset with shiny blue ceramic. The 1858 Chronograph kills two birds with one stone: it gives you the look of a 1930's Minerva chronograph?but manages to keep the price in check by not equipping the watch with one its upscale Minerva chronograph movements. For that kind of a treat, you’d be looking at something like this limited-edition 1858 Monopusher Chronograph with a Minerva movement and a price that exceeds this model more than four times.?Mountaineering spiritA vintage-style bi-compax chronograph originally introduced in 2018, this new iteration of the Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph comes with a navy blue dial and a blue ceramic inlay on the bezel engraved with the cardinal points. The addition of the bidirectional compass bezel, identical to the bezel we have just seen on the 1858 Geosphere, situ
