The Longines Heritage Chronograph 41mm watch is a great mix of class and style. It features great design and functionality, including three sub-dials and a date window, making sure you get all you need with a hint of class. This is further added to by its beige dial and shocking red hand markers, which are complemented by a sturdy black leather strap. The watch has three buttons and a crown, which allows for easy usage. It is one of the best watches for a collector to own.

And there are two models equipped with a second time zone and five with a moonphase. The Portofino collection just grew by 600%, from 4 models to 24. Last week we got an exclusive preview of the new Portofino models, before they were shipped to Hong Kong for the Watches & Wonders fair. Christiaan Knoop, IWC’s creative director, spoke to us about these new additions to t

Swatch Group's 2017 Results Show Strong Growth (and some Baselworld 2018 novelties partially revealed) - Monochrome Watches
After Richemont announced strong quarterly results just before SIHH 2018 and LVMH reported double-digit?growth for 2017, it’s now Swatch Group’s turn to disclose its annual results for the year 2017. And before going into details, know that the Group is strong and that the outlook for 2018 is still very positive. Once again, the industry seems to be in full recovery, with one or two threats that will have to be managed in the near future though.Swatch Group, one of the largest Watches & Jewelry conglomerate – owner, among others, of Swatch, Omega, Breguet, Blancpain, Jaquet Droz, Glashutte Original, Longines, Tissot or Rado – just published its yearly report, posting strong results for the year 2017. First of all, net sales increased 5.8% to CHF 7,989 million and +5.4% to CHF 7,960 million at current exchange rates?(vs.?CHF 7,553 million in 2016). Growth is driven mainly by the Watches & Jewelry segment, with an overall growth of 6.9% at current exchange
Drive de Cartier Extra Flat SIHH 2017 (Specs & Price)
Last year at SIHH 2016, Cartier unveiled a?new men’s?watch, the Drive, which received a lot of?praise?and attention here on Monochrome-Watches (see our?introductory article and review) thanks to?its great elegance and the way it mastered shapes. For us this is what Cartier is all about, a master of shapes and elegance, a brand that can create an unconventional watch that still looks brilliantly classy and understated. Still, for?us the Drive de Cartier always had?one issue; it’s size. It was just?a bit too thick and a bit too large. It seems our prayers have been answered though as this year at?SIHH 2017 the Drive de Cartier has been revamped and now comes in its best option so far, the Extra Flat Calibre 430MC.You see, a watch is not just a pencil line?on a sheet of paper. A watch is a 3 dimensional object that needs to be seen on the wrist, and more than its design, it’s the proportions of a watch that create a subtle, elegant and racy piece of watchmaking. The Driv
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Burgundy and Two New Reverso Duoface (Hands-On) - Monochrome Watches
Earlier this year, during the SIHH 2019, Jaeger-LeCoultre released a triple round of its iconic Reverso. A Reverso Tribute Small Seconds with a superb Burgundy dial and two editions of the Reverso Tribute Duoface join the timeless Reverso family. Like their 1931 ancestor, all three manifestations of the Reverso come with manual-winding movements but flaunt Casa Fagliano leather straps. Let’s have a closer look at these three (beautiful) additions to the collection.A utilitarian solution harbours an iconThe Reverso was LeCoultre’s ingenious response to a request from British colonial army officers stationed in India. As keen polo players, they were constantly smashing the glass on their watches and jeopardizing the mechanism of their wristwatches during the brutal matches. In 1931, LeCoultre patented its reversible watch (it wasn't until 1937 that Jaeger merged to become Jaeger-LeCoultre). A triumph of Art Deco restraint and sleek geometric glamour, the Reverso was launched
