IWC Debuts The Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph Summer Edition Along With a Collection of New Fabric Straps - Monochrome Watches
Summer is here and with it comes warm weather, trips to the beach and afternoons on the open water. IWC has just introduced a summer edition of their Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph series with a nod to our warmest season. This is the latest edition of the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronographs, with previous models such as the Ocean Racer dedicated to the Volvo Ocean Race, an intense sailing race around the world. This year's models have a more casual demeanour and would fit in with a short sleeve shirt and board shorts, or a nice afternoon sailing down a swath of the Atlantic coast.A deep blue dial with white sub-dials and a red stopwatch hand (and a few red accents) have a maritime vibe, along with a water-friendly blue rubber strap. The sub-dial at 12 o'clock is the chrono minute and hour counter, while the one at 6 o'clock is the sweeping seconds with a stop mechanism (hacking). This unique chronograph counter positioning is due to the IWC in-house chronograph calibre?89361, but m
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph (Hands-On) - Monochrome Watches
Last year, at Baselworld 2018, Omega introduced the new “James Bond Watch”, a.k.a the Seamaster Diver 300M. Not shy of being one of the best luxury dive watches available on the market (really, it is), it came with an updated case, a new ceramic laser-engraved dial, a new ceramic and enamel bezel and mainly, a Master Chronometer in-house movement. It is now time for the first evolution in the collection with the introduction of the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph – in three different versions, including steel, bi-co and Sedna gold. This new chronograph version of the Seamaster Diver 300M doesn’t really come as a surprise. It is the natural evolution of the collection and is a watch that already existed in the past. It feels quite natural for Omega to deploy the new design codes on the much-loved chronograph version of the 300M at the TimeToMove event (what replaces Baselworld for six of the Swatch Group brands). Take my breath away! IWC booth at SIHH 2012 - Monochrome Watches
It’s probably no surprise that the brands exposing at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, or short SIHH, are competitors. What is maybe not as well-known is that during this show the biggest competition is not about watches. It’s about the booth! In 1986, a movie turned a famous actor into a worldwide super star. Tom Cruise was playing the role of a young and talented fighter pilot joining the elite Navy fighter Weapon School based in Miramar, north of San Diego, in California. This school is world famous under its nickname: Top Gun! Ad - Scroll to continue with article If you ever get the chance to pilot a jet aircraft, this is great, no it’s spectacular. If you can fly an american high-tech jet aircraft, this is absolutely awesome. Now imagine the very few pilots who get to fly the latest and greatest aircrafts, take off from an a

It might be hard to believe but we're already into December, which means it’s nearly January. Incredible as it sounds, the first major watch fair of the New Year is just a few weeks away. That means it's preview time, before the major watch fairs start. We've already shown you several models from the likes of IWC, Piaget, HYT and Laurent Ferrier and?now it's Montblanc's turn. First up are two new versions of one of our favorites, namely the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph. Here are two new versions of the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph. Before you say anything, yes, calling these watches new' is probably a bit of a stretch. They're new in the technical sense of the word but practically speaking, they are modest extensions of the existing range. This makes sense given last year's refresh, which included a new dial layout and redesigned case. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
First Look: The 2025 Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph
With a partnership that goes back to 2001, when Tissot became the official timekeeper of MotoGP – the 2-wheel equivalent of Formula 1 – you can imagine that the T-Race collection is vast. Over the years, it has given birth to some of the most daring watches of the brand, all deeply inspired by the world of racing – some perhaps a bit “too inspired”. Last year, marking the 75th anniversary of the championship, Tissot unveiled a brand new generation of T-Race MotoGP watches. Still bold, still characterful, but certainly better than before. As the 2025 season will soon begin, the brand now unveils its dedicated limited edition, a new openworked version of its automatic chronograph inspired by MotoGP.This year’s edition is largely based on the concept introduced last year, with a brand new case design that revamped the collection while retaining some of its most distinctive elements – the brake rotor-shaped bezel is, by far, the most recognizable e
