2020 Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo Collection (Price)
Longines is on fire with its Heritage collection… No doubt about that. After the delightful Classic Sector Dial, the Military 1938, the Heritage Military and many, many more watches paying tribute to the brand’s past, today there is a new collection that will make quite an entrance. Inspired by the 1940s, with two-tone sector dials (hence the ‘Tuxedo’ name), great proportions, powerful movements and, let’s be honest, a very attractive look, here’s the new Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo Collection, with small seconds and chronograph watches. The Tuxedo ConceptFounded in 1832, Longines is one of the oldest brands of the Swiss watch industry still in activity. As such, you can imagine that its heritage collection is wide and constitutes an immense source of inspiration for today’s designers – we can’t really blame them since the market wants vintage-inspired watches and Longines is certainly very good at it. Introducing The 8 New Watches Of The Omega Seamaster 75th Anniversary Summer Blue Collection (Live Pics)
Omega, as a brand, has an incredibly long and rich history. When it comes to their watches, one can easily name models such as the Speedmaster or the Constellation. Yet, the watch collection with the longest production run is the Seamaster. Launched in 1948, to mark the 100th anniversary of the brand, the Omega Seamaster was based upon designs made for the British Royal Navy, but even though its technology was war-tested, it remained a child of peace. And since the watch celebrates three-quarter of century of existence this year, it is time for Omega to release a special anniversary collection, with 7 classic Seamaster models rendered in a new Summer Blue gradient tone, but it also marks the return of an emblematic watch, the mighty Seamaster Ploprof.?Quick historical recapThe Omega Seamaster was born on the expertise that Omega gained with wat
Face to Face with Omega: A Tour Revealing the Past, Present and Future of the Company - Part 1 - Monochrome Watches
Baselworld is complete madness. It's difficult to comprehend the sheer size of the fair when you hear it from someone, and it’s a totally different thing to experience it personally. This year the Monochrome team cunningly decided to split forces and covered almost everything with battle hardened Frank accompanied by Brice and Robin. My role was to dig a little deeper. Taking advantage of my free role assigned by the Mono-HQ I decided to cover one of the most important players in the Swiss horological industry, Omega. So, sit back and enjoy the tour.¦¸ The BrandA Few Words About Its Course Through TimeMany and rightly so, consider Omega one of the most important players in the industry. Women's Watch Wednesday - Clare Mountbatten And Her Unique Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso
Clare Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven, is many things. She is a respected journalist (formally the social Editor for Tatler magazine), wife to George Mountbatten, 4th Marquess of Milford Haven, mother, polo player and Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador. But above all, she's a wonderful woman (I swear she didn't pay me to say that).Having met her a few weeks back at Trippett's Farm in West Sussex for a Polo clinic (don't ask - the only riding I had done prior was five minutes on a decrepit Shetland pony at a gypsy fair 15 years ago). I couldn't help but notice an interesting watch on her wrist. As a polo player and JLC ambassador, you would expect it to be none other than a Reverso - but it was the details that caught the eye. The watch she chose was a Reverso Classic Duetto Medium in pink gold. It has a day-night set up with two dials (powered by a single movement). As I later found out, Clare was invited in 2016 (on the 85th birthday of the Reverso) to go through the process of des
