This beautifully crafted 8242 Longines Ladies wrist watch gives off the same earthy feeling due to the color scheme of white, blue, and brown. The white dial base is surrounded by a silver bezel and brown leather strap. Eleven diamonds serve as hour markers whereas the minute markers, and hour and minute hands are aqua blue in color. The dial remains protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside. With a fixed bezel, the dial's backside is transparent with sapphire crystal glass. The timepiece has a forty hours' worth of power reserve.

Hands-on with the Hyper-Technical Angelus U30 Tourbillon Rattrapante (and how can it be, relatively speaking, so affordable) - Monochrome Watches
Listen to this: double column-wheel, flyback, split-seconds, automatic chronograph, skeletonized, and with a tourbillon… Sounds like something we’re all dreaming off. It’s like the Lamborghini you had on your wall when you were a teenager. Something that looked too good to be true? Or just way too expensive to ever be accessible, even for someone in a ‘healthy’ income? Well, it seems that Angelus Watches does not agree, as they have such a watch in their catalogue. It is named the?Angelus U30 Tourbillon Rattrapante and we’re going to look closely at it – and try to understand how?it can be, relatively speaking, so affordable.Let’s get things clear from the beginning. When you have the idea of a split-second chronograph with tourbillon in mind, the psychological price you can think of is certainly six?figures – and probably several hundred?thousands. One way or another, it’s unthinkable that the price will be below the 100,000
Introducing The Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu Collection
From the brand with the loudest watch name in history comes an even mightier Spirit of Big Bang model designed by Maxime Plescia-Buchi. Renowned as one of the hippest tattoo artists today, this is his third collaboration with Hublot and one that will not fly under the radar. A confounding juxtaposition of three-dimensional geometric shapes, the imposing Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu beats to a high-frequency El Primero chronograph movement. Presented as a limited edition, the new Sang Bleu collection comes in exceptionally complex titanium, ceramic or King Gold cases.Rhomboid shapeMaxime Plescia-Buchi is a cult tattoo artist (the hand behind Kanye West and FKA Twig's tattoos) with Sang Bleu design studios in London and Zurich. Having worked on the design of the Big Bang Sang Bleu I and II, Maxime Plescia-Buchi gives the barrel-shaped Spirit of Big Bang case a new identity by elongating its bezel and case to create a domineering rhomboid structure, a signature geometric shape used
Hands-On - The Garrick S1 Prototype With Skeletonized Dial (Specs & Price)
For the last few years, we've been hearing about the so-called “resurgence” of British watchmaking. Run by passionate Brits with a strong streak of defiance, these small independent brands are (very) slowly but surely gaining a foothold in the market and proving they have what it takes to stick around for a while. One such brand, which we've written about several times before on MONOCHROME, is Garrick (you can find all past coverage here.) Today, we're taking a closer look at the S1, the latest model from the brand, or rather a prototype of it.?SalonQP 2017If you attended SalonQP this year at the Saatchi Gallery, then you likely already know it was a lacklustre event in comparison to previous years. Not only was it smaller (an entire floor smaller) but it also failed to attract the major brand names like Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger-LeCoultre, which in previous years had interactive booths set up. This seems to be part of a larger trend of big brands not finding regional
TAG Heuer honours Senna with a new Special Edition of the Formula 1
The 1st of May 1994 will forever be remembered as one of the darkest days in Formula 1 racing. A day in a racing weekend that was already looking pretty grim, as the sport lost not one but two drivers. Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger both fatally crashed at the (in)famous Imola race track. With Ayrton Senna's status as one of the greatest drivers ever to grace a racetrack, it's only natural that he still serves as an inspiration to many of us today. Collaborations and endorsements are also part of the game, even back in the 1980s. And for TAG Heuer and Ayrton Senna this started in 1988, the year he became world champion. Now, close to 35 years later, TAG Heuer honours the legend once again with the new Formula 1 Senna Special Edition. This 2022 edition of the Senna watch by TAG Heuer is a homage to the company’s first Ayrton Senna-branded watch. As the driver continues to inspire generations of race car drivers and fans the world over, it's no surprise
First Look: The Even More Complex MB&F LM Sequential Flyback
The aphorism “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” is not often used by watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, the mastermind behind MB&F's most complex timepieces enhanced with his innovative technological breakthroughs. Responsible for the 2015 LM Perpetual and the LM Sequential EVO, fans of MB&F's wonderful watches will be delighted to learn that Stephen McDonnell is back. This time, McDonnell ups the functionality of his award-winning chronograph calibre by incorporating a flyback function. However, for this new souped-up edition of 33 pieces, MB&F restages the complications in a more classical Legacy Machine capsule. Soaring in a platinum case with a sky-blue dial plate, the LM Sequential Flyback is the stuff watchmaking dreams are made of.The LM Sequential EVO, released in 2022, was MB&F's first chronograph and 20th calibre, and in true MB&F style, it had to be mind-blowing. Calling on a longstanding MB&F friend and watchmaking wizard, Stephen McDonnell, th
