Habring2 Chrono-Felix (with In-House Monopusher-Chronograph) Specs & Price
Not long ago, we reviewed a watch that many collectors and watch aficionados love (and for good reasons), the?Habring2 Doppel-Felix. Also, we took a closer look at the “simple” 3-hand version?named Felix. The?common thread running through them? The same?pared-down design and the same base movement manufactured in-house (quite an achievement for such a small company). But what if you take these two watches and try to find one that will stand right in the middle? Well, the answer is the?Habring2 Chrono-Felix.It always surprises us to see a company such as?Habring2 display such a high level of creativity – not only design-wise but also in terms of technical innovations. Surprising because Habring2 is actually a true family?business, founded by a couple – Maria & Richard Habring. With two employees they manage to?produce around 200 watches per year… But no generic cases with outsourced movements. What they do are truly in-house-developed watches (design an
Tudor Heritage Black Bay Steel 79730 - Review (Specs & Price)
At Baselworld this year, Tudor introduced a new version of the Black Bay, dubbed Steel – or more precisely, the reference 79730. Immediately during the official presentation, I wondered to myself about the real purpose of this watch, which admittedly is a Tudor Black Bay. No question about it, this new version perfectly blends into the rest of the collection. The real question was more about knowing if it was just another Black Bay or if it could make a difference? Let's find out.In order to make things clear, I am the owner of a Tudor Black Bay Midnight Blue (before being the Managing Editor of MONOCHROME, I was already a watch lover and a watch collector). I love everything about this watch, and I know it by heart. I know the reason why it has been created, I know the guy who designed it, I know all the specs and the details, I know where it comes from, I know its evolution over the years There's not much about the Black Bay that remains unknown to me. I ordered the Blue editio
Bamford x Time+Tide GMT2 Watch - Introducing, Price
In addition to new models designed and launched directly by brands, one of the growing trends in the watchmaking industry (but also in the luxury industry in general) is the concept of collaborations. It can be with the involvement of a sportsman, an external designer, a brand from another field and, as you’ve probably seen with Revolution, Fratello or Hodinkee, a collaboration between a watch brand and a magazine. Latest in line are our Australian friends of Time+Tide – which you might remember from their great WATCH & ACT! initiative. And for their first self-designed watches, they’ve decided to team up with Bamford.I say watches because the Aussie magazine has launched two different watches, the GMT1 and GMT2. However, the first model was limited to 50 pieces and is already sold out. So today, we’ll focus only on the one that is available and that you’ll be able to order, the Bamford x Time+Tide GMT2 Watch. The watch in question should be no stranger
First Look: The new Citizen Tsuyosa 37mm Automatic Collection
First presented in 2022, inspired by a popular model from the late 1990s (even though its design screams 1980s), the Citizen Tsuyosa instantly became a hit. And for obvious reasons… With its trendy design playing on the vibe of elegant sports watches, its vibrant and fun colours, its solid automatic movement and a rather unbeatable price, considering we’re talking about a venerable integrated manufacture, the recipe proved very successful. Now, the watch that has taken its name from the word for strength in Japanese will become slightly less strong. Indeed, we’re here to talk about the much anticipated reduced version, the new Citizen Tsuyosa 37mm.?The now famous 40mm Citizen TsuyosaWith this collection presented about 3 years ago, Citizen once again demonstrated being one of the most prolific watch brands in the disputed segment of entry-level mechanical models… We’ve seen this recently with the Urban Military NJ0190 Series or the Mechanical Day/Date NY40
