Hands-On - A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph Pink Gold / Black Dial (Specs & Price)
The?A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph is far from being a new watch. Indeed, even if it was updated in 2015?with a new dial that actually?goes back to (almost) the original design of this watch, it is a well-known and well-established member of the collection. New animations were introduced at the SIHH 2018 and the?1815 Chronograph is now available in pink gold. A good enough reason to take a look back at this superb chronograph – and its stunning movement. What exactly is the?1815 Chronograph? To put it in down-to-earth terms, it is the “entry-level” chronograph in?A. Lange & Sohne’s collection and an almost “accessible” watch considering what you get for your money. I know I will sound provocative by talking this way about a €50k watch – and I’m doing this deliberately – but the reality is that this watch has an incredible quality/price ratio. Yes, it is a huge amount of money for a watch, but what a watch it is. However, l
Industry News: Richemont Reports 14% Sales Growth For First Quarter 2023, Driven Mainly By Jewellery
Following 2022 with impressive growth for the industry (a record year for exports) for luxury groups involved in watchmaking and jewellery (LVMH, Swatch), indicators and analysts were not so confident regarding the outlook for 2023. Growing inflation, geo-political tensions and a potential economic contraction could have led to lower sales. However, following the announcement by LVMH and Swatch Group of their Q1 or Half-Year sales (respectively +17% and +18%), it’s now time for Richemont Group to disclose its sales figures for its first quarter, which ended 30 June 2023. And here again, sales are up by a solid +14%, with jewellery as the main driver of growth. For the first three months of its fiscal year (Richemont closes the books on 1 April), the Group reports sales up by 19% at constant exchange rates or 14% at actual exchange rates, thus exceeding the 12% sales increase of the prior-year period. Sales are reported at EUR 5,322 million for this quarter versus EUR 4,654 million

Anonimo Epurato Verde Natura (Hands-On Photos & Price)
Just like every other industry, the watchmaking world is driven by trends. A few years back, blue became a must-have for brands. “Blue is the new black,” they said. Literally?every watch brand came out with with a blue version of one of their bestsellers. Well, trends?come and go and it seems that green is slowly becoming the thing. Following this tendency, Anonimo brings a fresh-looking green version of its latest creation: the?Anonimo Epurato Verde Natura.Until a few months ago, Anonimo was known for its military and diving watches. Robust, utilitarian pieces with just that small hint of Italian design to make them different and obviously?cool. Yet, one thing is sure… Elegance wasn’t the main objective of these watches. Large on the wrist, often colourful and always tool-ish, they were clearly playing in the sports watch league. However, at Baselworld 2018, the brand decided to rely on its basic designs codes and Italian flair to create something slightly diff
