Longines' Record Silver 40mm L28214964 is a classic combination of starry blue and silver liquid. The essence of the timepiece reminds one of a star studded sky that can only be witnessed in a jungle or a field far away from the city and its pollution, leaving the onlooker star struck and spell bound. The self-winding automatic chronograph timepiece has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside.

For more than 30 years, Nomos has been part of the monumental effort to resurrect the German watchmaking tradition that once thrived in the Glashutte region in the easternmost part of the country. The region is home to a dozen or so brands, from relatively affordable names like Union Glashutte and Nomos?to ultra-high-end like A. Lange & Sohne and Moritz Grossmann, all honouring the Glashutte watchmaking heritage. Nomos is known for its lighthearted yet sobre Bauhaus-inspired design ethos and has amassed a strong community following over the years. Located in the town’s old train station, we recently visited the brand to check out some novelties and interview the brand’s CEO, Uwe Ahrendt, about the importance of this heritage.Robin Nooij, MONOCHROME Watches – The fall of the Berlin Wall was a pivotal movement for the Glashutte region. Can you explain what this meant for the people and how it created the foundations for a brand like Nomos to build on? Ad

2020 TAG Heuer Connected Watch and Interview with Frederic Arnault
Today, TAG Heuer launches a new Connected watch and we sat down with Frederic Arnault, TAG Heuer's Chief Strategy and Digital Officer, to talk about the new Connected Watch. How does it fit in the entire TAG Heuer line-up and what are the possibilities? One thing seems clear, TAG Heuer is able to use its 160 years of watchmaking experience to create a well-designed, ergonomic and good-looking wristwatch. This time without mechanical content but with state-of-art technical content and the latest software. Frederic is confident that both mechanical and connected can successfully coexist and thrive within one of the most recognized, historic Swiss watch brands. ?TAG Heuer introduces the third-generation of its Connected Watch, and since the brand pioneered the luxury connected watch segment back in 2015, it has now accumulated a significant background in this field. Tudor Heritage Black Bay ref. 79220R - Specs & price - Monochrome Watches
While Baselworld 2012 offered quite some mind-blowing novelties, two new dive watches from Tudor were on everybody’s tongue. The Tudor Heritage Black Bay and the Tudor Pelagos are both loaded with design elements of vintage Tudor Submariner models from the past. The new Heritage Black Bay combines elements of the Tudor Submariner ‘Snow Flake’ ref. 9411 and the Tudor Submariner ‘Big Crown’ ref. 79220R, that shares the same dial design with the early models like the Tudor Submariner ref. 7928 Mk.I or Mk.II. The Heritage Black Bay also has a depth rating that’s similar to that of vintage Tudor Submariners, which is 200 meters. What’s missing is the word Submariner?!? SIHH 2018 - Christian Selmoni of Vacheron Constantin, On The New Collection - Monochrome Watches
Yesterday, we told you about the brand new FIFTYSIX collection from Vacheron Constantin, which can be considered the brand's first major foray into entry-level pieces (relatively speaking). In this video, live from SIHH 2018, Christian Selmoni, Artistic Director of Vacheron Constantin tells us a bit more about what inspired the FIFTYSIX collection, as well as some of the other models the Maison will be introducing this year.As Brice highlighted in yesterday's article, when you think of Vacheron Constantin you don't generally associate the name with entry-level (aka affordable) timepieces. Founded in the mid-eighteenth century, Vacheron Constantin is one of the oldest watchmakers in the world and is well-known for its highly praised, exceptionally complicated timepieces created in precious metals using traditional techniques. Even well-established brands have to move with the times, however, and Vacheron Constantin is no exception. The brand is keen to attract new a new generation of wa
