Longines' Men's Record two-color rose gold plated 200 automatic leather strap watch L28215112 is yet another attempt from Longines to keep people belonging from both sides of the century happy and satisfied. The sleek and rusty looking timepiece is a combination of white matt dial, 18-carat pink gold bezel, dark leather brown belt, and a splash of electric blue minute/hour hands. The white dial has black painted Roman numerals working as hour markers. The wearer would not have to worry about the safety of the timepiece much ardently as it remains protected due to the presence of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside.

After the “bomb” that was dropped by , Tudor, Patek Philippe, Chopard and Chanel earlier this week, concerning their decision to leave Baselworld, there is no longer any doubt about the (low) relevance of Baselworld for major brands. Subsequently, we have just been told that all four LVMH Brands, those from the watch Division – Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith – as well as the House of Bvlgari, have taken the decision to leave Baselworld “in order to preserve their image and their relations with their clients as well with the media“.As of today, most of the top-tier brands that were participating in Baselworld are gone – LVMH, Swatch Group, Seiko, Citizen, Breitling, and sister-brand Tudor, Patek Phillipe, Chopard, Chanel and Gucci (that also announced its departure recently). One of my favorite watches of all times is the rather exceptional UR-CC1 from URWERK. A highly remarkable timepiece that remind of the dashboards of cool 1960’s cars. That’s at least part of the inspiration for URWERK’s UR-CC1.?Recently I came across a photo of an old Patek Philippe, that looks very much like the UR-CC1. After some more research it appears to be a prototype, created by the late Louis Cottier and it was called Cobra. That explains the “CC” in the name; Cottier and Cobra.
