Review of the Extra-Flat Richard Mille RM 033 Boutique Edition (Titanium & Rose Gold) - Live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
When the name Richard Mille comes into the game, large?tonneau shaped watches come to mind, with a sporty feeling and highly technical content. Not the usual ingredients for a dress-watch. Of course, some editions are less “hardcore” than the others, like for instance the RM 022 Aerodyne (a smaller, less rugged but still highly complicated watch) or the classical RM 029. However, the watch we’re about to review breaks all these codes. It’s round, it’s slim, it’s supposed to be the ‘elegant and dressy’ proposition of the brand. However, surprisingly, it remains recognizable as a Richard Mille all the way round. Let’s have a closer look at the?Extra-Flat Richard Mille RM 033 Boutique Edition (Titanium & Rose Gold).Overall appearanceThe Richard Mille RM 033 is in every aspect?a RM watch but at the same time everything except?a RM watch. All of the actual attributes of a Richard Mille watch are absent here but at the same time, you
Talking Watches, Blogging, Speedy Tuesday and Selling Watches with Fratello's Founder Robert-Jan Broer - Monochrome Watches
I guess you know Robert-Jan Broer, founder of the Fratellowatches online magazine, initiator of #SpeedyTuesday, and the Speedy Tuesday limited editions that OMEGA introduced in the past years. Robert-Jan and I met some fifteen years ago in The Hague, Netherlands, where both of us lived. We were both watch enthusiasts, and we craved more opportunities to talk about watches with like-minded folk. And both of us started a WordPress blog about the watches we loved so much, and for many years, we drove to Baselworld together. Robert-Jan got his Fratellowatches blog intertwined with Ebner Verlag, a German publishing house and later bought it back to team up with Chrono24. Over the past two years, Fratellowatches has gone from publishing to selling pre-owned watches, selling their own Limited Editions, and even new watches from some major watch brands. We’re talking with Robert-Jan Broer about his journey with Fratellowatches.? On the road to Basel… Who’
Our Favourite Watches of "Time To Move" Swatch Group Event - Monochrome Watches
The news broke last summer – Nick Hayek announced that from 2019 onwards, Swatch Group and its brands would no longer be present at Baselworld. As a consequence, the luxury powerhouse decided to organise its own product presentation “Time To Move” for its most luxurious brands: Breguet, Blancpain, Glashutte Original, Harry Winston, Jaquet Droz and Omega. First for retailers in Zurich in March, and then for the press in each of the brand's Manufactures (except for Glashutte Original). Held mid-May, the unveiling of these novelties came later than usual and we were very curious to see what surprises the Swatch Group high-end brands had in store for us. Here are our favourite watches from “Time To Move” - which we have limited to just one watch per brand.Note: this selection is based on a consensus among the MONOCHROME team. It reflects our preferences of the watches unveiled during “Time To Move”. If there are other watches you'd love to mention,

Ulysse Nardin is no stranger to the aquatic world. Now, as part of the celebration of World Ocean Day, the brand unveils a new model that is, once again, entirely devoted to ocean conservation and reducing marine pollution. This watch follows the DIVER NET concept, by teaming up?with world-renown shark experts dedicated to the study of marine life and ocean conservation by bringing together two dedicated organizations, OCEARCH and the FIU Medina Aquarius Program. Introducing the Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC PAM00617 and PAM00629 (specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
When it comes to Panerai watches, there are a few distinct features that might create the enthusiasm of?Paneristi (Panerai collectors): an iconic dial is a first one. A limited edition is something desirable too. For Watches &?Wonders 2015, both qualities are reunited in 2 new timepieces, with a limited production of 300 pieces each. Here are the?Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC PAM00617 and PAM00629, with their DLC coated titanium case, superb and iconic dials and a cool overall look. Both watches, ref.?PAM00617 and PAM00629, are based on the same case and design. They are only differentiated by their dials (and a minor change on the movement). These new limited editions are using the?Luminor 1950 case, meaning the vintage inspired shape that refers to the very first watches created by the Officine to feature the patented crown protection device. There's just a slight difference between the?normal Luminor case and the 1950 one - the latter is 100% faithful to the military wa
