The white matt dial of the watch is encased by the 38.5mm stainless steel coating. This casing comes with a red PVD coating that not only enhances durability but gives the timepiece a statement of style, which makes it absolutely unique. Weekly Watch Photo - the Bulli-Shot - Monochrome Watches
That I’m a huge fan of beautiful photos showing beautiful watches probably doesn’t come as a surprise anymore. Hey, that was the sole reason for starting the Weekly Watch Photo. And that was?one and a half year ago…I still find so many photos that look so good that they have to be shared. Besides cool ‘mood’ photos, like these from A.Lange & Sohne or these from IWC, I’m also a big fan of beautiful wrist shots, like the wrist shots from Simon C. Today I’d like to present you a bunch of wrist shots called Bulli-Shots! Ad - Scroll to continue with article Bulli-Shots? Yep, although there’s of course no formal name for any type of wrist shot, but I think this is the second informal type of wrist shot. The first is called the Superman-wrist-shot, famous for the hand-streched-foreward-in-the-air that looks like the p
Chopard L.U.C XP II Sarto Kiton - Hands-On, Price
Chopard has partnered with the famous luxury Neapolitan tailor Kiton to create a limited edition of its ultra-thin L.U.C XP II models. The partnership between a watchmaker and a tailor is not as far-fetched as it sounds; both rely on highly skilled artisans, both have a profound respect for tradition, and both pursue refined finishes, comfort and longevity in their products. For the new L.U.C XP II Sarto Kiton dress watches, the dial is attired with a traditional houndstooth pattern, and the strap is made from cashmere.Sartorial elegancePartnerships between watchmakers and luxury fashion brands are on the rise. ?We've seen partnerships between watchmakers and shoemakers (Jaeger-LeCoultre and Christian Louboutin or Hublot and Berluti), watchmakers and tailors (Hublot and Sartoria Rubinacci) and even watchmakers and top-of-the-line jean makers (Oris Momotaro). Introducing: The Hublot Big Bang Unico Ice Bang
This year, the Hublot Big Bang Unico is out to please a wider demographic. Issued in a bright orange ceramic case (and a slightly less eye-catching but no less unusual green ceramic variant), the counterpart of this extravagant model is the Big Bang Unico Ice Bang, which looks back over its shoulder to the first Ice Bang released in 2006. A limited edition of 100 pieces, the Big Bang Unico Ice Bang will be available exclusively online. In a departure from the transparent Kermit-green Big Bang Unico Saxem, the new Big Bang Unico Ice Bang tones down the colour palette and goes for a more contained and sober look. When the Big Bang erupted on the scene in 2005, it was the paragon of a loud, oversized, high-testosterone watch bristling with unusual combinations of materials. After almost two decades, it still has a powerful presence, but most of us have grown accustomed to its bold personality and almost expect each successive model to outdo the last one with more exaggerated colours and fa
Hublot Classic Fusion Italia Independent (Authentic Fabric Dials & Straps)
With Hublot, the word Fusion is not just the name of a watch. It is much more than that. it is a motto, a proper guideline for the design. Fusion refers to the concept of mixing materials, something that has always been in the DNA of the bold manufacture. Fusion of gold and ceramic, fusion of metals and rubber, fusion of gold and patinated leather, fusion of everything that you can imagine and more… Hublot dares to integrate in watches materials that you would have never thought about. And they did it again, with the?Hublot Classic Fusion Italia Independent, using authentic fabric dials & straps, the result of a collaboration with the highly creative?enfant terrible?Lapo Elkann. This is not the first time that these two terrible children of the luxury industry do team up to create watches. Since 2014, two collections have been born from the partnership between Hublot, Italia Independent and Lapo Elkann. Although both of the previous collections were based on the bold, masculin
IWC Spitfire Chronograph with In-House Caliber 89365 - Monochrome Watches
Monochrome is into pilot’s watches and this week we share enthusiastic stories of our contributors, about their favorite aviation timepieces. Like the Omega Flightmaster that we told you everything about last Tuesday and the very cool Bremont Squadron Watch USNTPS?that we told you about yesterday. Today our guest contributor Angus Davies share his thoughts on the brand new IWC Spitfire Chronograph with the in-house?manufactured calibre?89365.?I remember as a young boy growing up in the 1970's obsessively watching films depicting war time conflict. Air supremacy was a topic which captured my interest with Spitfires and Focke Wulfs embroiled in aeronautical battle. The Focke Wulf Fw190 was arguably better armed than the Spitfire, but lacked its agility and ultimate prowess in the air. My innocent eyes would be captivated by jousting-like duels, guns angrily snarling, as the green and grey planes swooped through the nimbus clouds. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
