Longines' Presence Automatic L49214926 38.5mm is a men's wristwatch. With sunray blue dial and applied rectangular silver bars working as hour markers, the overall dial remains perfectly rustic and simple looking. The self-winding automatic mechanical timepiece comes with triple safety folding clasp and push-piece opening mechanism, and a power reserve of approximately 64 hours. Though intricate-looking, the timepiece remains long-lasting due to the presence of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside. Another plus point of the timepiece comes with the transparent case back, which is surprisingly of sapphire crystal glass.

Baselworld - Hublot Classic Fusion Extra¨CThin Skeleton - Monochrome Watches
Something completely new from Hublot: an extra-thin skeleton watch. Hublot created a model in the Classic Fusion collection by adding a skeletonized dial and a brand new in-house extra-thin movement.?At Monochrome we already asked ourselves if Piaget was going to set a trend and judging on the recent developments, like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak?Openworked Extra-Thin, we guess guess they did. Although the new Hublot Classic Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton and?fore-mentioned?AP RO don’t have fully PVD coated movement, they are extra-thin and skeletonized. Ad - Scroll to continue with article The new Hublot caliber?HUB1300 is 2.90 mm thick, which is 0.20 mm thicker than?Piaget’s caliber 838P. Both calibers are skeletonized and hand-wound. Although the difference in thickness of the movement is minimal, Hublot’s case seems much thicker. The movement
SIHH 2017 - Ulysse Nardin Regatta (Hands-On, Specs & Price)
Live from SIHH 2017, where Ulysse Nardin is exhibiting for the first time, we’ve just been introduced to what could be one of the (if not the) most ingenious?Regatta watches ever.?While most regatta watches are basically reversed chronographs (which count-down instead of timing an event), this watch is able to do?both, in the most practical possible way. How? By having a bidirectional second hand that goes?counterclockwise during the count-down and once it hits zero, changes direction automatically to become a chronograph. It is impressively clever?to say the least. Check out the video below and then read on to find out more about?how the?Ulysse Nardin Regatta works.Regatta watches: A quick refresherTo help?understand how this Ulysse Nardin Regatta works, it’s worthwhile going over a bit of the technical background with regards to?regatta watches in general. Firstly, what is the purpose of such a watch? Unlike?car racing, the start of a sailing regatta is rather complex, be

It’s Sunday, so it’s time for Monochrome’s Weekly Watch Photo. Today we bring you photos shot by?Marcus Behnke from the Watch Lounge, a German watch forum. The New Rado Diastar Original And 60-Year Collection - Hands-On, Price
The 1960s were a decade of rapid technological, style and fashion evolution with often remarkable creative freedom. The world made huge strides in creating striking, sometimes polarizing designs. Well, if you are 1960s-ready and seeking a dose of nostalgia, Rado celebrates the 60th anniversary of their quirky Diastar, a disruptive model marketed as the first scratchproof watch. It does so by re-editing the Diastar in four different versions. Meet the Rado Diastar Original with a new material, a new movement and new dimensions.DISRUPTIVE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY1962. Rado launches the Diastar marketed as “the first scratchproof watch in the world’s history.” The Diastar was fitted with a sapphire crystal (the use of sapphire crystals only started to spread in the 1970s and 1980s) and it was “jet-styled of scratchproof super metal, more costly than gold.” Indeed, the Diastar was crafted from ultra-resistant hard metal with an alloy formed from carbide tungsten
Roger Dubuis Pulsion Chronograph - Monochrome Watches
Short before this year’s SIHH we were the first to show you a picture of the new Roger Dubuis Pulsion Flying Tourbillon. During the show Roger Duibuis introduced an entire new Pulsion collection and it looks great. Lots of technicalities and an avant-garde design. My favorite: the Pulsion Chronograph.?The Pulsion collection comprises of sporty high-end watches with very striking details. The dial is mostly absent, so the magnificent in-house movement is visible and the crystal is really something that I’ve never seen before. Ad - Scroll to continue with article The ‘dial’ only covers the perimeter of what can be considered the dial or face. At 12 and 6 o’clock the hour markers are black DLC coated?applied Arabic numerals. The dial around the perimeter, roughly covers from 1 to 5 o’clock and from 7 to 11 o’clock and is al
