Indie Watchmaking - Introducing the Kudoke 2 Deep Blue (Specs & Price)
Stefan Kudoke, German watchmaker and founder of the eponymous independent brand Kudoke, is a name that most indie watch enthusiasts should know. In fact, he’s no longer flying under the radar anymore since his watch won the Petite Aiguille category at the GPHG in 2019. The watch in question, the Kudoke 2 (and thus his second creation), has already appeared with silver, black, Nocturne or green dial variations – there’s even a highly attractive salmon edition. The Aurora Borealis, AKA the Northern Lights' are a natural display of light found on the northern hemisphere. If you've had the chance to witness them first-hand you'll know, they are nothing short of spectacular. Streaks of blue, green, purple and yellow light shooting across the sky in mesmerizing fashion. Each company has a specific set of values, beliefs and ideas that run at its core. They define its stance and also have an impact on its operations or its products. An ethos is so important because it permits the customer to identify with its products. Brand loyalty is derived from that sole idea. Omega is a company that has a very strong ethos and identity. Many believe, however, that the company is synonymous with classic sports watches like the mighty Speedmaster and the iconic Seamaster. And while the company did shape the evolution of sports watches/chronographs in ways that few others have done, I nevertheless beg to differ. Omega is a company that has a rich heritage of producing many diverse watches. Their new offering, introduced at Baselworld 2015, is a watch that comes to redefine a classic line of very unique and important timepieces. The new Omega Globemaster is a direct descendant of the vintage Omega Constellation?of the 1950s and 1960s, enriched with many unique feature
