Introducing: A Gradient Turquoise Dial For the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m
It has become a pretty recurring thing for Omega to release new models, or at least new editions of existing watches, with very little or no fanfare. While this has happened in the Planet Ocean and Speedmaster collections, it’s mostly the Aqua Terra family that sees these discreet releases dropping regularly. Following the addition of a green dial to the 38mm AT and an array of Moonshine Gold models earlier this year, it’s time for the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m Shades?to bring an unprecedented colour to its already extensive range, with a new gradient turquoise option for both the 41mm and 38mm versions. While looking fresh and new, these new editions are based on the Shades version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m. As a reminder, this sub-collection is slightly different from the traditional Aqua Terra, which we’ve come to know with its brushed and polished case, sporty bracelet or rubber strap and signature teak-like textured dial. The Shades sub-collection is more c
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph (Hands-On) - Monochrome Watches
Last year, at Baselworld 2018, Omega introduced the new “James Bond Watch”, a.k.a the Seamaster Diver 300M. Not shy of being one of the best luxury dive watches available on the market (really, it is), it came with an updated case, a new ceramic laser-engraved dial, a new ceramic and enamel bezel and mainly, a Master Chronometer in-house movement. It is now time for the first evolution in the collection with the introduction of the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph – in three different versions, including steel, bi-co and Sedna gold. This new chronograph version of the Seamaster Diver 300M doesn’t really come as a surprise. It is the natural evolution of the collection and is a watch that already existed in the past. It feels quite natural for Omega to deploy the new design codes on the much-loved chronograph version of the 300M at the TimeToMove event (what replaces Baselworld for six of the Swatch Group brands). First Look: The Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium
The Hublot MP series is a collection of masterpieces characterized by their disruptive and highly technical take on Haute Horlogerie. The latest chapter in this story, initiated in 2011, is the Hublot Big Bang MP-10 Weight Energy System Titanium. Visually arresting and technically complex, this limited edition timepiece is powered by a movement displaying the hours and minutes on rollers, the seconds on an inclined tourbillon cage and the power reserve on a third roller. Its automatic winding system consists of two gold masses sliding on rails on either side of the movement. Overall, a highly impressive concept watch.?Overtly technical and disruptive in their appearance, Hublot Masterpieces look nothing like a traditional Swiss wristwatch. The latest member of this club changes the classic circular layout of a watch case and its display. Like the MP-05 La Ferrari (and its 50-day power reserve movement), the Hublot MP-10 uses rollers that provide a practical, intuitive digital time indi
Recap: The Best Dive Watches of Watches & Wonders 2024 and Around
Despite not being the most spotted watch genre during the Geneva Watch Week – there was a clear focus on smaller, more elegant and colourful timepieces this year – the dive watch remains one of the most important categories, with fierce competition between big manufactures and smaller independent brands. A key element of all watch collections, something that most watch brands know, we’ve nevertheless seen solid new models, as well as truly unexpected aquatic timepieces… Here are the five most notable new dive watches we saw during Watches and Wonders 2024 and fringe shows held during Geneva Watch Week.?The Compact Doxa SUB 200T CollectionAn emblematic design made smaller, with only a few compromises on key diving features and an extra dose of fun and colours… This is how we could summarize the new Doxa SUB 200T Collection, a smaller take on the classic design of the brand. Now measuring 39mm in diameter, we’re talking about a compact watch (41.50mm i
