Introducing A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Outsize Date Silver Dials (Price)
The Saxonia and the Lange 1 were two of the four pillars that trumpeted Walter Lange's resurrection of the brand in 1994. The Saxonia was Lange's answer to the classic elegant dress watch; the Lange 1, with its large ex-centred date window, would become Lange's ambassador at large. The Saxonia Outsize Date appeared in 2018, with lustrous black dials (in pink or white gold cases) and the elegant symmetry that characterises many of the Saxonia family dress watches. The novelty for December 2020 is the introduction of a silver dial. Silver dialLike the existing models, the latest Saxonia Outsize Date models are also presented in 38.5mm 18k white or rose gold cases, with a height of 9.6mm, a polished bezel and brushed casebands. The novelty here is the argente or silvery dials, a colour that illuminates the face of the watch. Compared to the black dial, the personality of the watch is far less austere and lighter, but still highly classic. Ad - Scroll to c

Bvlgari Octo Finissimo S Steel Silvered Dial - Hands-On, Price
We all remember the inaugural Octo Finissimo Automatic, a watch that made headlines in 2017 with the thinnest automatic movement on the market. First presented in a monochromatic edition in titanium, followed by sandblasted steel and gold models, it has become a signature watch in the brand’s collection. Last year, it received an update to become the S model – not just a different dial but also a different finishing and, best of all, a 100m water-resistant case. This year, the Octo Finissimo S Steel Silvered Dial returns to its much-loved monochromatic look. The Octo Finissimo Automatic as presented in 2017, with its monochromatic titanium design. The original Octo Finissimo – which is still available – was and still is a fascinating watch. Combining the beauty of high-end watchmaking – with its ultra-thin (2.23mm height) automatic movement, developed and manufactured in-house – with a bold, contemporary design was a refreshing move. Octo Finissimo was
Buying Guide - Highlights From The Geneva Watch Days 2020
With the cancellation of Baselworld and Watches & Wonders, the Geneva Watch Days event was one of the very few multi-brand watch events of the year. Seventeen brands? showcased their novelties between August 26 and August 29 in the “capital of luxury watchmaking”. The event was decentralised as each brand was presenting novelties in their individual showrooms. We masked up and ventured to Geneva to get a long-awaited horological fix! Here are some of our highlight watches.Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometre FB 2REFerdinand Berthoud's first-round model will be one of the watches of the year. Although the brand's focus remains the same – precision chronometry – the second Berthoud collection comes with a new case and a new calibre. The Chronometre FB 2RE picks up the shape of Berthoud marine clocks and their modular construction. It is based on a cylindrical container fitted with short, tapering lugs secured to the case by stylised bolts. Time is displayed on a tra
Pre-SIHH 2012 - New Cartier Tank - what will it look like? - Monochrome Watches
Cartier already launched?several pre-SIHH released from the Fine Watchmaking Collection, however they remain silent about this year’s novelties of the normal collection. Although they have given us some hints… A few weeks ago they launched a teaser video, called “The Story never stops” (see below). It’s actually a boring video with some years being highlighted. But for those who know about Cartier’s history, they will see that these years are the same years that Cartier released new models of the Tank collection.?A logical conclusion?would be?that Cartier is about to release a new Tank, but what will it look like? Ad - Scroll to continue with article The first date mentioned is 1917, which is the year Cartier designed the first Tank, the so-called Tank Normale. In that time the?French military were successfully employing the a
