Breaking: Audemars Piguet Appoints Ilaria Resta As CEO To Replace FH Bennahmias
It was known for some time already that Fran?ois-Henry Bennahmias, the current CEO of Audemars Piguet, was about to step down from his position. As explained in this article of June 2022, Audemars Piguet officially confirmed the departure of its boss at the end of 2023 (at the latest). What remained unknown, up until now, was the name of the substitute. We knew somehow, through rumours and indiscretions, that AP was interested in naming a woman, in order to bring a new vibe to the brand. And now, according to an editorial published a few minutes ago in Le Temps (here, in French), the name has been given. In the very near future, Audemars Piguet will be guided by Ilaria Resta, previously President Perfumery at Firmenich,?a Swiss company in the fragrance and flavour business.?Fran?ois-Henry?Bennahmias, current CEO of AP, who will leave his position at the end of the year.Fran?ois-Henry?Bennahmias joined Audemars Piguet some 30 years ago. Introducing New Blue PVD Santos de Cartier Large Model (Specs & Price)
Since its introduction in 2018, the Santos de Cartier has been the best example of a sporty/luxury watch for the brand. With its interesting mix of traditional, dare I say emblematic design with casual elements and overall robustness, it has since been seen in various editions designed to add a touch of boldness to the collection. In addition to the classic steel models, but also versions with a gradient blue dial or a black-coated case, it now comes with a new blue-coated bezel and new dials, all featuring an unprecedented striped pattern. Meet the new blue Santos de Cartier for Watches and Wonders 2022.While faithfulness and traditional elegance are to be found in the Santos-Dumont collection, the classic Santos de Cartier is a sporty, casual luxury watch with daily wear in mind. With this in mind, it’s also a great vehicle for colour combinations, playing wit
First Look: The Titanium Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition
Known for its countless (and often appealing) vintage re-editions, inspired by some glorious watches of the past, Longines last year relaunched an important historic pilot watch, the Czech Pilot watch known as “Majetek Vojenske Spravy” or more simply, the Pilot Majetek. A follow-up to a model of 2014, this re-introduction was done with style and boldness. It is now time for a limited edition made of titanium, with a more technical and monochromatic look, the Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition. The modern Pilot Majetek, just like the 2014 Longines Heritage 1935, is a modern interpretation of the Longines Czech Pilot watch developed in the 1920s and supplied to the Czechoslovakian Air Force in the 1930s. The watches were marked as Majetek Vojenske Spravy, meaning property of military administration, earning the Longines Majetek nickname among collectors. As Denis said in his previous article, “I believe Longines Vojenske would be a better name, translating into Longines Milit

Two virtual videogame and movie cars taken off-screen and into reality
Today The Petrolhead Corner is turning to the virtual automotive world as the origin for real-life, working and driving cars. If you’re anything like me, you would have spent a good amount of time on video game consoles playing driving and racing games such as Driver, Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, Forza or any of the annual F1 racing games. Or, if gaming isn’t your thing, maybe you’ve seen memorable movies such as Back to the Future, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Le Mans, Bullit, any of the James Bond movies, the Fast and Furious franchise or the Cars trilogy.
