If you enjoy the contrast between white and blue, the Tangente 101 Nomos watch is an offering you will enjoy. It features a Stainless steel case attached to a black (shell cordovan) leather strap. It boasts a fixed silver-tone stainless steel bezel. As for the dial, it is a Galvanized white silver-plated one which looks stunning with the blue steel hands and alternating Arabic numeral and index hour markers. The small seconds sub-dial's hand is also blue for a uniform aesthetic. This is a casual style for a watch, but can still work well in formal settings.

Hands-On - The The New Hublot Classic Fusion Original Collection
Although Hublot has become one of the world's most prominent Swiss watchmakers, it remains a relatively young brand. Everything started about 40 years ago with a luxury sports watch with an unprecedented combination of materials, in particular gold and rubber. Hublot brings back this now classic model in three different sizes, each available in three materials. Let's take a closer look at the new Hublot Classic Fusion Original Collection. The origins of Hublot go back to the late 1970s when the Italian entrepreneur Carlo Crocco left the Binda Group to create his own watch company, MDM Geneve, the acronym for Marie-Danielle Montres and later Montre Des Montres (the watch of all watches in French). At Baselworld 1980, Crocco launched a luxury sports watch called the Hublot (porthole in French). The model turned out to be so successful that the name would be used for the brand itself, while this inaugural model was later known as the Classic Fusion. The original Hublot watch of 1980The Hubl
Buying Guide: Five Square(-ish) Watches To Satisfy Your Edgy Needs
It’s a given that the vast majority of mechanical watches rely on round or circular cases to portray the passing of time. After all, it makes the most sense, right? Hands rotate in a circular motion, which leads to circular dials and cases. But what if you’re looking for a different vibe in a more edgy style? Well, you’re in luck since watches like the Cartier Tank, TAG Heuer Monaco and several others have been trailblazers in square and rectangular watchmaking for decades. But there’s more on offer, especially since Patek Philippe recently ‘squarified’ its emblematic Nautilus. So with that in mind and kicking off with the Cubitus, here are five square(-ish) watches to satisfy your edgy needs!Patek Philippe Cubitus 5821ARObviously, when it comes to square watches, we have to talk about the all-new Patek Philippe Cubitus collection,?and we’ve gone for the two-tone 5821AR this time. The quadrangular (Patek’s name, not ours) sibling to the l
First Look: The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon
From the brand with the most explosive named collection in watch history comes the loud, eye-popping Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon. Upholding the brand’s preference for fusing disparate materials on board its bold, shaped cases, Hublot offered Chinese artist Chen Fenwan the Spirit of Big Bang as a blank canvas to exercise her creativity. Using the millenary Chinese art form of paper cutting, Chen Fenwan’s original paper design has been interpreted on the multi-layered dial and snaking marquetry bracelet that come to life with the dynamic forms of the dragon. In the Chinese Zodiac, 2024 marks the Year of the Dragon; to be precise, the Year of the Wood Dragon. Unlike the fire-breathing and destructive dragons of Western mythology, Chinese dragons were originally revered as imperial icons and are associated with wisdom, strength, prosperity and immortality. Another difference with Western dragons is the more snake-like contours of Eastern dragons’ bodies, known as lo

Again a Weekly Watch Photo of an Omega. This week it’s a Speedmaster Pre-moon from Trum, a member of Timezone UK made the photo. He wrote a very informative post about identifying the different Pre-moon Speedmaster versions?that Omega released before the Speedmaster accompanied the astronauts in space. The first being reference 105.003, which can be recognized by the dial without the word “professional” under “Speedmaster”. This version was worn by astronauts during the Gemini 3 and Gemini 4 missions and it was the first Speedmaster worn during a?space walk on Ed White’s wrist. Buying Guide: Ring the Bell With Five Mechanical Alarm Watches
During our very busy lives it’s very easy to be late for a meeting, to forget to top up a parking meter or even be tight on time for a departing flight. And despite the fact we have a device called a smartphone with us to set a (very intrusive) beeping alarm, how about a nice mechanical buzz on the wrist to serve as an audible and sensible reminder of a specific moment in your day? With that in mind, here’s a look at five splendid mechanical alarm watches.Vulcain CricketThe return of the Vulcain Cricket was celebrated in the watchmaking community as it meant the return of one of the most emblematic alarm watches in history. The new Cricket not only relies on the 1947 original by Vulcain for its looks but also for its mechanics. The movement that powers it, including that all-important 25-second long buzzing sound to ring the alarm, is an evolution of the original calibre used in the Cricket. The caseback also doubles as a resonator, amplifying the sound. Two sizes and sever
