Lange & Sohne has presented several extremely impressive and technical novelties, of which we've selected the best four. Here are the best watches introduced by A. Lange & Sohne in 2021.A. Lange & Sohne Cabaret Tourbillon HandwerkskunstThis recap of A. Lange & Sohne's best watches of last year wouldn't be complete without mentioning the return of the Cabaret. Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Passion // Introducing, Specs & Price
Introduced earlier this year during the Festival Automobile International in Paris, this Laureato Absolute Passion is decked out in racing red and sleek black livery to celebrate the brand's partnership with the event. A limited edition of 50 watches, this chronograph joins the edgier, more contemporary Laureato Absolute watch sub-family distinguished by black PVD-coated titanium cases, impressive 300m water-resistance and in-house movements. Origins of the LaureatoWhen it was first introduced in 1975, the Laureato was positioned as the brand's take on the luxury sports watch, a new genre that had just hit the markets in 1972 onboard Gerald Genta's trailblazing Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet. Originally presented in a matte steel case with touches of gold, the modular design of the Laureato was distinguished by its polished gold octagonal bezel, a cushion-shaped case, an integrated bracelet with a gold stripe and a white hobnail pattern embossed on the dial. Revisited in 2016 after year
Hands-On: The New Longines Spirit Flyback Chronograph
There is no denying that Longines’ latest and most prolific collection, the Spirit, has been quite a success during its two years of existence. With its attractive combination of modern features and historical references to the brand’s aviation past, the Spirit has already been released in multiple editions, including time-and-date, chronograph, no-date and recently, GMT Zulu time. And now, it appears in its most complicated edition so far, a new chronograph that’s fairly different from this classic version?that pays tribute to an important function for the winged hourglass. Let’s discover the new Longines Spirit Flyback.Longines’ expertise in the field of aviation-related watches and chronographs is undeniable. We’ve explained this in the first article covering the Spirit collection. What matters most today actually has to do with what’s under the hood, with a complication or function that has a lot to do with Longines: the flyback chronograph
Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather // Review
Minimalistic but detailed, designed with true ergonomics in mind, as precisely built as the cars that share their name with this watch… Porsche Design watches are unique, in the best sense of this word. But they aren’t just an exercise in style; what you get with Porsche Design watches goes well beyond just a pretty face. We’ve seen this in the past already and it is still present in the brand’s latest creations, including this new version of the Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback, now available in a new (and handsome) Blue & Leather edition.?Whether you’re into cars or not doesn’t really matter here. Porsche Design watches are not necessarily designed to be automotive-related products, although they are designed with the Porsche spirit. And when you look at the 911, an icon of motorsport that has been around since 1963, and that has clearly stood the test of time to become a timeless piece of contemporary engineering, you’ll see that
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M - Underwater Dive Review (Specs & Price)
Let's play a word association game. When you hear the name Omega, what is the first thing that pops into your head? If you're like me, it instantly conjures up thoughts of Speedmaster chronographs and space exploration. This is no small thanks to Omega's marketing prowess and (well-deserved) pride at being on the wrists of the men who boldly went where no man had gone before. But it is at the other pinnacle of exploration where you will find the longest-running watch in Omega's vast catalogue: the Seamaster. And for another of my diving trips, I took the most classic yet ultra-accomplished model underwater, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M.First released way back in 1948, the Seamaster was Omega's answer to the growing demand for a tough, everyday wristwatch. Based on the success and watchmaking know-how they honed making over 110,000 timepieces for the British military during World War II, the first Seamaster was a robust, do-it-all timepiece, with even better water resistance than its
