Introducing: The 1.65mm Ultra-Thin Konstantin Chaykin ThinKing
If I asked you to name things that are 1.65mm in height, or less, would you immediately think of a watch? More likely you’d be thinking of credit cards, coins maybe, or even a sheet of cardboard. But a mechanical watch? Surely that can’t be done at such a slim height… Well, it can be done, and it has?been done as renowned indie watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin reveals his ThinKing. According to what the indie watchmaker claims (we’re still waiting to see the watch during the Geneva Watch Days), it’ll be besting the likes of Piaget, Bulgari and Richard Mille, as this very cleverly constructed watch brings the record down to a mere 1.65mm in thickness, making it the new world’s thinnest mechanical watch.?ContextBefore starting to read and understand all there is to know (so far) about the Konstantin Chaykin ThinKing prototype, we invite you to read this article listing all the records of thinness in watchmaking. IWC Spitfire Chronograph with In-House Caliber 89365 - Monochrome Watches
Monochrome is into pilot’s watches and this week we share enthusiastic stories of our contributors, about their favorite aviation timepieces. Like the Omega Flightmaster that we told you everything about last Tuesday and the very cool Bremont Squadron Watch USNTPS?that we told you about yesterday. Today our guest contributor Angus Davies share his thoughts on the brand new IWC Spitfire Chronograph with the in-house?manufactured calibre?89365.?I remember as a young boy growing up in the 1970's obsessively watching films depicting war time conflict. Air supremacy was a topic which captured my interest with Spitfires and Focke Wulfs embroiled in aeronautical battle. The Focke Wulf Fw190 was arguably better armed than the Spitfire, but lacked its agility and ultimate prowess in the air. My innocent eyes would be captivated by jousting-like duels, guns angrily snarling, as the green and grey planes swooped through the nimbus clouds. Ad - Scroll to continue with article

Introducing The More Compact Oris Divers Sixty Five Chronograph
Coinciding with the advent of recreational diving, in 1965, Oris launched its first diver's watch with a unidirectional rotating bezel, luminescent numerals, a Plexiglas crystal and a water-resistance rating of 100m. Fifty years later, the diver was relaunched in a faithful re-edition with modern mechanics and went on to become the highly successful and affordable retro-flavoured Divers Sixty-Five collection. While some quibbled about the relatively low impermeability for a dive watch, others were smitten by its vintage elements, and the collection expanded with models in different case sizes and materials. In 2018, the Sixty-Five collection welcomed a limited-edition, bronze-cased chronograph followed by regular production models. Today, Oris releases a new chronograph with a more compact case size and a black dial and bezel.Former editions of the Sixty-Five Chronograph flaunted large 43mm cases coupled with some proper thickness. The latest stainless steel model shrinks to 40mm in di
