Introducing An Unexpected Tuscany Dial for the AP Code 11.59 Chronograph
Following the release of Audemars Piguet's first semester novelties for 2025, another less publicised model caught us by surprise. While ostensibly a Code 11.59 Chronograph in a two-tone blue ceramic and white gold case, this special edition strays from the collection's signature dials and incorporates a rare Tuscany dial in blue, something that will ring a bell with collectors.Accustomed as we are to AP's hallmark tapisserie dials and even the more recent embossed dial patterns of the Code 11.59 collection, a Tuscan Blue dial is a relatively rare sighting in AP's universe. Associated with Royal Oak Perpetual Calendars of the 1990s, the dials were originally hammered by hand, producing a grained, speckled surface that is rougher and less regular than one obtained with a machine. Last seen on the Royal Oak Jumbo 16202, the Tuscan dial reappears in 2025 on board the Code 11:59 Chronograph. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Introducing: The Wildly Reflective Zenith Defy Extreme Mirror
Camouflage dials have been a big hit in the past couple of years, and we've covered several combat-ready models. Zenith pushes the camouflage concept to the extreme, giving its Defy Extreme a radical makeover with a reflective mirrored surface. Undoubtedly the boldest take on its high-performance 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph, the latest manifestation blends into its surroundings thanks to its distortion-free mirror-polished case, dial and bracelet.Zenith's Defy Extreme collection, released in 2021, is a high-testosterone brother of the Defy family, a lab rat of sorts to test out new materials on its powerful, angular case. Extreme in all senses, right down to the dual regulating organ, the regulator for the timekeeping beats at 5Hz while the second one for the chronograph whizzes at 50Hz to capture 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph readings. The Collector's Series: A Young Collector's IWC Portofino Vintage Collection 5448 in steel - Monochrome Watches
Today we start with a new series, The Collector’s Series, focusing on collectors and their watches. Well, one of their watches for starters. We will be sitting down with some of our readers and find out why they bought a watch, and what triggered them to buy that specific watch. It could be for an important life-event, or just for the fun of it. A collector can have a passion for a specific brand, a specific complication, a specific historical background or a gazillion other reasons to buy that specific timepiece. We’re talking about these questions and also want to know how it is, owning the watch and wearing it frequently. Of course we will do our in-depth reviews, however we’d also love to hear from owners how their experience with a watch actually is. Today we’re talked with Koen about?his?IWC Portofino Vintage Collection 5448 in steel.?What sparked your interest in watches? Ad - Scroll to continue with article

Here are two new versions of the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph. Before you say anything, yes, calling these watches new' is probably a bit of a stretch. They're new in the technical sense of the word but practically speaking, they are modest extensions of the existing range. This makes sense given last year's refresh, which included a new dial layout and redesigned case. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
