Bvlgari Aluminium Frecce Tricolori - Monochrome Watches
On the occasion of Geneva Watch Days, Bvlgari brought back one of its iconic designs, presenting a modern take of the late 1990s innovative, sporty watch in aluminium and rubber. One of the Rome-based jeweller’s numerous charitable initiatives in this difficult period, Bvlgari now releases an exclusive limited series on behalf of three Italian children's hospitals.Revenue from the sale of the first 50 exclusive and numbered timepieces in the series will be donated entirely by Bvlgari to the “Un Dono dal Cielo” (A Gift from Heaven) fundraising project. Launched by the Aeronautica Militare to mark the centenary of the proclamation of the Madonna of Loreto as Patroness of all Aeronauts (scheduled for the whole of 2020 and extended to the end of 2021), the funds will support three Italian children's hospitals - Giannina Gaslini in Genoa, Bambino Ges¨´ in Rome and Santobono Pausilipon in Naples. Collector's Series - Camron and his Speake-Marin London Chronograph
Camron shares his passion for watches (with many chronographs and Indie watches) under the pseudonym @cucalichronoguy on Instagram. He’s not the average collector and his collection is pretty… eclectic. Today we’re talking about a Speake-Marin, but not one that you’d think of immediately when hearing the Speake-Marin name. It’s a chronograph, and to be precise, it’s the Speake-Marin London Chronograph First Edition. But there’s more to the collection of Camron than just watches. He’s also the owner of one of the craziest strap collections I’ve ever seen. Dozens and dozens of custom-made, highly personal, straps to match his personality. Today, in our newest instalment of the Collector’s Series, we’ll discuss this cool Speake-Marin chronograph with a restored vintage Valjoux movement, as well as Camron’s passion (dare I say obsession) for custom-designed watch straps.?Frank Geelen, MONOCHROME – Are you a typic
Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 GMT (Specs & Price)
There's certainly no shortage of dive watches on the market with diehard classics from , Omega, Seiko, and other mainstream heavyweights. Unique offerings from lesser known brands like H20 Watch and Farer provide intriguing alternatives, and there was a boom of relatively unknown, first-class divers thriving in the 1960s and 1970s. Similar in spirit to the revived Jenny Caribbean 300 diver, the new Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 GMT brings retro styling with modern engineering for divers seeking to relive the past or simply sport a unique piece. With both German and Swiss design, the watch is first and foremost a submersible tool, but a stylish option for terrestrial fans as well. Let's take a closer look at this modern take on a sea-dwelling blast from the past.BACKGROUNDAlthough popular with innovat

First Look: The Subtle Upgrades of the Oris Aquis Date Collection
During Watches & Wonders 2024, Oris unveiled a new generation of its Aquis Date, the brand's best-selling dive watch. While radically altering the design of your best-selling watch dive watch could alienate your loyal customer base and create an incoherent identity, Oris has limited its intervention to subtle design tweaks. Enhancing the watch visibly and physically, these well-calibrated, almost imperceptible alterations make the Oris Aquis Date more elegant, comfortable to wear and balanced without sacrificing its performance-oriented dive watch identity.Launched in 2011, the Aquis Date was designed as a muscular, water-resistant toolwatch. Appealing to divers and landlubbers alike, the Aquis is considered a solid, contemporary, performance- and value-oriented model. Underscoring its importance in the collection, the 43.5mm version of the Aquis Date was the first model to be equipped with the brand's new automatic proprietary Calibre 400 with a five-day power reserve, anti-magnet
