The Omega Railmaster Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer is one with a lot of history. This is an updated version of the one released in 1957, though it's only in the power department. It retains the same classic look in a 38 mm case, uses a black dial for easy readability, is made from steel.

Hands-On - A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon with Pink Gold/Salmon Dial (Specs & Price)
Montblanc, Audemars, Patek?and more… Salmon/pink dials are THE trend for the 2018/2019 collection. Even though not entirely novel, we’ve never encountered so many watches with pink-coloured dials as we have this year. Don’t get us wrong, we actually love salmon dials here, at MONOCHROME (see Frank’s love letter here). There are, however, different ways to execute a salmon dial and when it decided to do its first real pink-coloured timepiece,?A. Lange & Sohne took the high-end road… really high-end, with the new?Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon and its solid pink gold dial.Lookbook 2019 – The trend for SalmonAfter a rolling series of blue dials (from 2013 to 2016), after multiple bronze watches (a trend that isn’t over, as seen at the SIHH with multiple?bronze case/green dial watches), the major trend for high-end watches this year seems to be the combination of white metal and a pink/salmon dial. Such a combination isn’t new, as it has
Buying Guide: Make Your Wrist Pop With These Six Brighly Coloured Watches
We’ve just passed the longest day of the year, meaning it is officially summer season. Summer is the season of relaxation, fun in the sun, a splash in the pool or something a bit more adventurous. And with it, there’s no need to be shy about what you put on your wrist. Make it pop and stand out, as summer is the perfect opportunity to be more creative in your watch selection. Luck would have it, several watchmaking companies have embraced this state of mind too. They have enriched the industry with bright, fun watches that will surely get noticed when you’re strolling down the boardwalk lounging in a deckchair or whatever you want to do during the summer. With that in mind, these six watches provide you with all the horological pop you need, while also adding something fresh and different to your ensemble.Hermes H08 ColoursThe Hermes H08 range is, quite frankly, a very cool collection of watches. The design is fresh and original, the attention to detail is evident, an
Pre SIHH 2015: Introducing the Rotonde De Cartier Astrotourbillon Skeleton Watch Calibre 9461 MC - Monochrome Watches
Next month the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (short: SIHH) starts again and that marks one of the most important weeks in a year, for the horological industry. Today we’re already showing you?the?Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon Skeleton Watch Calibre 9461MC, Cartier’s latest horological masterpiece, which will officially be introduced during the SIHH. This is one of Cartier most spectacular timepieces, and now they have skeletonized it to the max. A?feast for the eye and a magnificent accomplishment from Cartier’s watchmakers.?Not too long ago, in 2008 to be precise, Cartier became quite serious about watchmaking. In fact they became really serious about watchmaking; something that we covered here. The very elegant?Collection Privee Cartier Paris (CPCP) – a collection that we here at Monochrome just love – was phased out and in came the big?guns, horological big guns that is. In that year Cartier introduced the Fine Watchmaking collection a
Comparative 3 affordable & vintage-inspired dive watches from Tudor, Oris & Longines (live pics & price) - Monochrome Watches
Returning visitors of Monochrome are certainly aware of our speciality: reviews of watches. We believe that reviews are essential in the process of buying a new watch, or any luxury item for that matter. Of course, we encourage you profoundly to test the watch yourself… however?that will most likely be in the luxurious ‘ambiance’ of a retailer, and for a short (very short) period of time. In our reviews we share with you our long-term experience, since we test/wear review watches for a longer period. Testing a watch alone is good, however we’d like to give you even better advice. So recently?we started with a comparative review, which included 3 watches with a same complication: the worldtimer. Here is another of these reviews – and today, we have 3 dive watches, all vintage-inspired and all reasonably priced: the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Blue, the Oris Divers Sixty Five and the Longines Legend Diver. Let’s see which offers the best quality / price /
Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Manufacture - REVIEW (live photos & price) - Monochrome-Watches
Finding the right watch is a quest. When a watch fits one's lifestyle like a hand to a glove, and not by some artificial marketing association, but the fit of real-world application, then a symbiosis ensues. What is the right watch for the boat owner? Be he the captain of a flying tower fishing boat, or an open air bow rider filled with eager skiers, or a sport cruiser complete with galley and overnight accommodations, or a true yacht for luxurious entertaining, or even the rarified air of the seafaring mega-yacht bound for the Monaco harbor in time for the Formula Race, the right watch is essential. A dive watch will do, but if form follows function, what is the right watch, other than a diver, for the captain of the ship? As summer beckons captains to the rivers, lakes and sea, Ulysse Nardin, a name synonymous with the pilot house, offers a watch that can move effortlessly from the swim deck to the yacht club, combining the essential elements of sport and dress while simultaneously b
