A. Lange and Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 25th Anniversary (Specs & Price)
The Lange 1 “25th Anniversary”, introduced prior to the SIHH 2019, was the first of a commemorative series of ten watches. Two other limited edition pieces followed, with the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase?and the Little Lange 1. For the fourth model in the collection, A. Lange & Sohne introduces the most complicated and exclusive model of this watch family. Meet the 25-piece A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar “25th Anniversary”.The recipe for this fourth watch is pretty simple: take the most complex Lange 1 model, adapt it to the 25th-anniversary theme and you’ll get a very discreet watch (at first) that hides an incredible level of sophistication. The base for this new edition is familiar and avails itself of the same proportions and movement as this version we reviewed a few years ago. Needless to say, we’re in front of one of Lange’s masterpieces here. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Longines Heritage 1935, both the Historic Czech Pilot Watch and the New Version Explained - Monochrome Watches
If you look at the last few Longines we've written?about, you’ll immediately notice that they are all part of the Heritage collection, the tribute watches?to Longines’ great history. For instance, we’ve presented you with the Heritage Diver,?honoring?1970’s diving watches; the Conquest Heritage, a faithful re-issue of the original 1954 Conquest; and?the Heritage 1973?that recalls the iconic?1970’s racing chronographs. At Baselworld 2014, Longines introduced?another interpretation of a historic watch, a tribute to 1935?Czechoslovakian pilot watches, the Heritage 1935. Let’s look back at the Longines Czech Pilot and compare it with the new Longines Heritage 1935.?The historical Longines Czech Aviator’s watchIIn between the two World Wars, plenty of watch brands supplied timekeeping tools to military forces. These included Glashutte Original or A.Lange & Sohne and their now famous, and overly copied,?B-Uhr Flieger watches. Longines also suppli

Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech 44mm PAM01163 - Specs & Price
Panerai's ‘Laboratorio de Idee’ has been a platform to explore and innovate regarding materials, today a field of expertise for the brand. The latest addition to the portfolio of high-tech materials is Fibratech, made from mineral fibres produced by the fusion of basalt rock. Meet the Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech?PAM01163.Fibratech?is a composite material based on basalt rock fibres. Thin layers are superimposed in a precise orientation and then consolidated through a process where pressure and temperature are controlled. The matrix to bind this reinforcement together is a polymer. This creates a non-homogenous matte grey appearance with random pattern depending on the cut. From a technical perspective, Fribatech is 60% lighter than steel, resilient and highly resistant to corrosion. An appropriate material for such a large diver’s watch. Introducing: Ochs und Junior Christmas Edition 2024, Returning the 2008 Classic 36mm Design
Ochs und Junior (in reality, it should be written ochs und junior, no capital letters) was founded in 2006 by Ludwig Oechslin, Beat Weinmann and Kurt Konig – the former being one of the most revered inventors of the Swiss watch industry, the former Director of the International Museum of Horology and the man who conceived the groundbreaking Ulysse Nardin Freak. The very first watch to be presented, back in 2008, was the deliberately simplistic Settimana, a 7-weekday model with only 4 additional components (in typical Oechslin style…) And this year, the Settimana, which is now part of the permanent collection in various editions, goes back to its roots with the ochs und junior Christmas Edition 2024, a strong evocation of the very first edition. If you look at the brand’s collection, you’ll see that the Settimana is of great importance for ochs und junior, representing both its entry-level model but also its most relevant collection. In December 2020, the settiman
