Bvlgari Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire Malachite - Hands-On
What is Bvlgari…? A jeweller? A designer of beautiful high-end accessories? A respectable watchmaker? If you still had doubts regarding any of the previous statements, the brand’s latest creation will give you the answer. It’s everything at once, a watchmaker of haute horlogerie capable of creating strong designs and to dress its watches with superb jewels and stones. Exhibit A: the new Bvlgari Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire Malachite.I have to admit, I’m usually not the biggest fan of jewellery watches or diamonds and stones in general. I’m certainly more of a stainless steel person. But when done right, with boldness and as coherent and detailed as this watch, I have to change my mind. Indeed, the Bvlgari Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire Malachite is something special, bold and sculptural, but also a refined piece of watchmaking where the integration of stones has been greatly thought out, complementing the already impressive design of the Octo collection.

Hands-on Certina DS Super PH500M Sea Turtle Conservancy (Price)
Certina’s turtle logo is a symbol of resilience and was inspired by the brand’s Double Security or DS Concept, first incorporated inside a shock-resistant automatic 200m water-resistant watch of 1959. The turtle logo also provided a natural bridge to Certina’s involvement with the Florida-based Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC), the world’s oldest sea turtle research and conservation group founded in the same year as Certina’s DS Concept. For 2022, the annual STC edition has been picked from the Certina DS Super PH500M family, combining vintage flair with a bright royal blue shell and a matching strap made from recycled ocean plastic. The DS Super PH500M takes inspiration from a 1960s model that was used in the Tektite I programme (1969-1970), in which aquanauts lived in an underwater habitat for prolonged periods of time to conduct saturation diving missions and study the effect of closed environments on human biology and psychology. Petrolhead Corner: Skoda Goes Mad With The Enyaq RS Race
Normally, I don’t get overly excited by an electric car, especially when talking about the run-of-the-mill electric SUVs that flood our streets these days. The lack of sounds, vibrations, the smell of gasoline being burnt… that sort of thing. But when a manufacturer takes one to the tracks or modifies it with that intent, things start to get interesting for me. The performance an EV can put down on the tarmac is nothing to complain about, but it’s more about the emotion that’s missing. Nevertheless, upon seeing Skoda’s latest super-EV-SUV (is that a thing?) I was quite intrigued from the get-go! Usually not a manufacturer to go mad about, Skoda has shockingly decided to turn its Enyaq into a race-prepped track machine!Skoda and MotorsportsFor those not ‘in the know’ about what Skoda is and does, it’s a Czech car manufacturer that’s part of the Volkswagen-Audi Group. The brand was established in 1925 as the successor to Lauring &
