Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon Sunburst Tapisserie Dial (SIHH 2018)
Audemars Piguet will bring a fresh burst of colour to SIHH 2018, with the unveiling of three new Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon models. We're profiling two of them here for you today, one in classic steel and the other in 18ct pink gold. All changes are purely aesthetic and as far as we're aware, neither will be limited editions, although we imagine production quantities will be relatively low to maintain the exclusivity of these pieces. The Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon made its debut back in 2012 as part of the Royal Oak 40th anniversary celebrations. The idea was to take the original concept of the Royal Oak from 1972 and elevate it to a whole new plain of consciousness (my words, not theirs). Suffice to say, they succeeded and since then Audemars Piguet has introduced several variations, including an all platinum version in 2016 and a titanium/platinum hybrid in 2017. TAG Heuer And Porsche Join Forces For The Legends Of Panamericana
Throughout history, Porsche and TAG Heuer have crossed paths on many occasions. This has led to a long and extensive partnership of the two legendary manufacturers, with watches and timekeeping on one end, and high-performance sports and racing cars on the other. Not only do the two brands share history on-track but also off-track, with special edition watches such as the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche being a very recent example. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Porsche, as well as the 70th anniversary of the Carrera Panamericana this year, a new collaborative project has just been released, which is inspired by one of the most significant Porsche racing cars in history; the humble Porsche 550 Coupe.?The carrera panamericanaThe Carrera Panamericana is simply put one of the most famous yet daunting road-racing events in history. It’s on the same level as the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia in Italy. Competitors have to navigate more than 3,400 kilometres throughout Mexico, basic

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Omega Seamaster, the longest continuously produced collection of watches by Omega. Hands-on with the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph - Monochrome Watches
There are actually just a few serious high-end sports chronographs, which are very comfortable on the wrist and that can easily matched with suit and tie or any kind of casual outfit. Of course there’s the Patek Nautilus Chronograph ref. 5980, the AP Royal Oak Chronograph and Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas Chronograph. Last year Vacheron introduced a new model of the Overseas Chronograph, with a deep blue dial (click here), and recently we got some hands-on experience with this one.?The Overseas more or less originates from the legendary Vacheron Constantin 222; the photo showing the steel/gold version, below, is courtesy the Hour Lounge. When you see the sleek case, the integrated bracelet and the sporty AND dressy looks, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that this model was designed by the late Gerald Genta. And just like its nephews from Patek and AP, which also have been designed by Genta, it featured the ultra-thin caliber 2121. The Overseas didn’t dir
