Keeping in mind the accomplishments of the first human visit to the moon, this particular brand was designed to pay homage to the astronauts of Apollo 8; inspired by the dark side of the moon the inventors took one step further from the Goth black and dabbled their hands into different mixtures and shades to create the perfect shade ¨C Black. The design has a polished and brushed ceramic case body, matt black dial, and ceramic clasp. With hollow rectangular dull silver bars as markers, the dial is scratch resistant with sapphire crystal glass.

The 2020 Pasha de Cartier Stainless Steel 41mm (Specs & Price)
The Parisian Maison heralded the return of its Pasha de Cartier collection a couple of weeks ago, during the virtual edition of Watches & Wonders 2020. Originally launched as a collection in 1985, the Pasha was discontinued about ten years ago. Awakening after a decade of slumber, the Pasha de Cartier arrives in two new case sizes of 41mm and 35mm and is clearly being marketed as a unisex watch. Apart from the high jewellery and skeletonised/tourbillon models, the core collection is composed of three-hand models in different case materials fitted with mechanical automatic movements and Cartier's QuickSwitch strap changing system. How has the original 1985 fared in this latest transformation? Was it really commissioned as a one-off waterproof piece by the Pasha of Marrakech in 1932? Read on and find out what we thought of the legend behind the watch and the 41mm steel version we had for our review session.CARTIER’S REMARKABLE SHAPED CASESThe legendary Parisian jewellery house
The Robust And Tool-like Isotope Hydrium California Limited Edition
Over 70% of our precious Earth is covered in water, and huge areas of it have not yet been fully explored. It’s very likely we’ll never manage to discover all the far corners of the oceans, as they are one of the most challenging environments mankind can face. The main issue is pressure, which increases by 1 bar (or 14.5 PSI) every ten meters down. At 60 meters below the surface, the pressure is already seven times the air pressure we face on land. That hasn’t deterred us from diving into the deep and finding out as much as possible about underwater life as we can. Professional and recreational diving has long relied on mechanical watches for timing a descent and, more importantly, the ascent to avoid running into issues such as decompression sickness. And even with dives now being timed by computer instruments, the appeal of a mechanical dive watch has stuck. The robust nature of a dive watch is the reason we still see so many of them, ranging from very affordable to
Introducing: Ferdinand Berthoud Releases The Final Editions Of Its First Calibre
An octagonal case, a tourbillon movement with fusee-and-chain transmission and a pillar-based construction… The Chronometre FB 1 has played a major role in defining the identity of Chronometrie Ferdinand Berthoud. Released in 2015, it was the watch that marked the return of a glorious name, one of the most important of horology. Since the presentation of the collection, this series of watches was equipped with a demonstrative movement, combining constant force and anti-gravity devices (and a decoration done in the best possible way), the Calibre FB-T.FC. But it is now preparing to take a last bow, in the form of a final 38-piece edition presented for the first time with a round case; the Chronometre FB 2T.In 2015, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, the co-president of Chopard and the President of Chronometrie Ferdinand Berthoud, somehow made one of his dreams come true; the resurrection of one of the most important historical names of horology. His concept was to offer a contemporary visi
Baselworld 2018 - The new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M (Specs & Price)
The Omega that many people refer to as the Bond watch?is the Omega Seamaster Professional, also known as the Seamaster Diver 300M. And it’s back! Not that it was gone or anything, but things had gone a little quiet. The watch that was once lovingly referred to as the Bond watch or the SMP (Seamaster Professional) has been revamped as Omega launches fourteen new models.?Last year, Omega introduced the Seamaster Diver 300M Commander’s Watch, reminding us of the James Bond connection. That story started in 1995, with Pierce Brosnan wearing the Omega Seamaster in the movie GoldenEye. This specific Seamaster was introduced in 1993, with either a quartz movement or an automatic movement – calibre 1109 upon introduction, but soon changed to calibre 1120, both based on the ETA 2892 – featuring the well-known blue dial with a?wave pattern. The automatic model was called the Seamaster Professional (short SMP) and has been in the collection ever since, although in various
